Channel 4 Information
Channel 4 is a British public-service television broadcaster which began transmission on 2 November 1982
Although largely commercially self-funded, it is ultimately publicly owned; originally a subsidiary of the Independent Broadcasting Authority (IBA),
The channel was established to provide a fourth television service to the United Kingdom in addition to the television licence-funded BBC's two services and the single commercial broadcasting network, ITV.
With the conversion of the Wenvoe transmitter group in Wales to digital on 31 March 2010, Channel 4 became an entirely UK-wide TV channel for the first time.
Channel 4 for many years had a poorer quality signal compared to other channels

Because it’s a comedy, its in the morning so before everyone goes to school or work

Channel 5 is a television network that broadcasts in the United Kingdom. Launched in 1997
it was the fifth and final national terrestrial analogue network to launch, after BBC One, ITV, BBC Two and Channel 4
Richard Desmond, announced plans to invest more money in programming and return to the name Channel 5 with immediate effect, prior to an official re-launch on 14 February 2011 which was also applied to 5 News.
Channel 5 is a general entertainment channel, with internally commissioned shows such as The Gadget Show, Fifth Gear and Gibraltar: Britain in the Sun

Teleshopping Its been there for years, so its well known there fore a lot of people watch it

Milkshake Aimed at children, and it starts in the morning when all the children wake up

X-Factor It entertains people, and many people from different ages are part of the X-Factor
Britain’s Got Talent It also entertains peoples, famous people are part of it such as the judges and would like to watch them
Coronation Street These 2 are similar as it aims on diferent cultures has different aged groups therefore the audience would be bigger, and it has been on TV for many years so its well known
Downtown Abbey
The Jeremy Kyle Show Some people find this funny and would like to entertain themselves, or people would want to know about real life problems

X-Factor The X-Factor and Britain’s got talent would be similar TV shows, 14-50 years old, this is the case because people from different age groups perform in the x-factor and Britain's got talent would even take part e.g. the judges

Coronation Street These two TV shows wold also be similar, would be 13-65, old people would also watch this as there are elderly In the TV shows and its also entertainment

The Jeremy Kyle Show People who have relationship problems, they can sort there relationship out y taking advice from this show, or even mostly teenagers – 30 years old

Comparing all three channels Channel 4
Channel 4 has more sister channel than channel 5
Has a wider variety of programs, this is because of the amount of sister channel there is
Channel 4 has enough money to make there own app to download on smartphones or iPad

Channel 5 doesn’t have that much sister channels, only has 2 compared to channel 4 and ITV
Has a limited amount of programmes not that many
Channel 5 also has there own app to downloads

ITV has more sister channel than channel 5 but not as much as channel 4
