Prototype and Test
Redesign the school-to-work transition.
Undergrad student with a lot of
energy and attitude needs a way to
easily transition between trainee and
full time employment because the
process was bumpy and full of
unexpected challenges.
PROBLEM STATEMENT
Government
Organize hiring coffee's between
students and employers
Job interviews , career fairs, and first day
at a job are quite formal. Why not make
this all more informal? The idea is to
have coffees between potential
employers and students so they can chat
and see if they would like to work
together.
Idea to do the prototypes
Prototype 1
• Designed to find connections of personality students-companies
• Relaxes students in the hiring process. • As students are more relaxed they are
more transparent on how they would be as employees.
• Have a space in campus to the coffee interviews.
• Quicker process
• Make the job coffee house once or twice a year.
• Make pre-selection of potential candidates before the event.
• More students looking for jobs than companies hiring.
• See if managers of the companies could take a day off interview students.
• What would be the process for selecting the candidates?
• Is the job coffee house is going to be open all year?
• What happens if students don´t match with potential employers ?
• Are companies going to take all the managers to the job coffee house?
• Before the coffee interview do exams and apply different filters to students.
• Invite lot of potential employers. • Explain the process to students be
transparent to them.
Prototype 2
• Pre-selection process/ filter • More relaxed process • Use of LinkedIn, most students already
have their CV in LinkedIn. • Quicker process. • Cool to follow companies where you
would want to work. • More comfortable to have an
interview in a coffee house.
• Do competencies match- exam? • Know how many candidates for the
same job will go to the coffee interview.
• Have more than one opinion on the student.
• Choose a coffee close to the company offices.
• Is one interview enough to hire a student?
• How many candidates for the same job vacancies?
• All the people that decide if the student gets hired needs to go go the coffee interview.
• University conferences on how to use LinkedIn
