Norrbotten, Piteå Municipality, PiteEnergi, Sparbanken Nord

• Collaboration Partner: RISE Research Institutes of Sweden

• Period: August 2017 – October 2020

• Central district heating network is heated to 95% by

waste heat from Smurfit Kappa

• Europe's largest onshore wind farm is being built

outside of Piteå with 1101 wind turbines (4000 MW)

• First solar power test bed in 2011
