1. What are affixes?

a. Affixes are words.

b. Group of letters added to a base word or root or base word.

2. Mention two affixes and functions:

a. Prefix= a word part added to the beginning of a base/ root word.

b. Suffix= a word part added to the ending of a base/root word.

Prefixes:

a. Mis- wrong; incorrect

b. Pre- before; inadvance

c. Re- again; do again

Suffixes:

a. -er = one who does

Why do you think reading is important? Explain your answer.

Reading is very important, and entertaining. It is important because it helps us enrich our knowledge (conocimiento). It,also, helps us travel (viajar) the world with out leaving our country and it even helps us relax, among other reasons.

While reading, it is important to look, observe or pay attention to text features (características del texto).
