New expanded survey to be undertaken to include

more analytes and we hope more cities

eGFR: Results from study presented in Beijing.

Study will continue, as a collaborative effort

among Sam Vaiskaran, Kiyoshi Ichihara and Ken

Sikaris. (Note: SV is a member of the IFCC WG

on this subject)

Assessment of interpretative comments: requires very little cost

Letters of invitation issued

a group of Chemical Pathologists/Senior Scientists will be convened to form an over-sight sub-committee

Workshop on QA and Laboratory Safety: planned for 2009 in Sri Lanka, jointly with ACB-SL and with IFCC, pending improvement in security situation

Workshop to be a prototype for similar activities in other countries, e.g. Nepal

HbA1c: since 2005; 2008 survey planned, invitations issued organised out of Taiwan; expected to continue

Clinical Biochemist Reviews The CBR is a quarterly reviews journal,

PubMed indexed

published by AACB in association with APFCB.

Bulk distributed to at reduced subscription to clinical biochemists in the Asia-Pacific through APFCB member associations.

APFCB Website: Work to re-develop APFCB web-site is underway
