BANQUET AND CATERING POLICIES
Food and Beverage Service The Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines is responsible for the quality and freshness of the food served to our guests. Due to current health
regulations, all food served at the hotel must be prepared by our culinary staff. Food may not be taken off the premises after it
has been prepared and served. The sale and service of alcoholic beverages are regulated by the state. As a licensee, this hotel
is responsible for the administration of the regulations. It is a policy, therefore, that alcoholic beverages cannot be brought into
the hotel from the outside.
Service Charge All catering and banquet charges are subject to applicable 26% service charge and 7.75% state sales tax.
Guarantees A guaranteed attendance is required for all meal functions three business days prior to the function date and is not subject to
reduction. If the catering office is not advised by this time, the estimated figure will automatically become the guarantee. If any
course of a meal is to be preset-the guarantee and payment for the preset items must be accounted for.
Menu Pricing The quotation herein is subject to proportionate price increases to meet increased cost of food, beverages, labor, etc.
Pricing does not include service charge or sales tax.
Tray Passed Servers Should you require that any of your selections be tray passed, we are happy to have dedicated servers to do this. The cost per
server is $50.00+ tax. Please see your Catering or Event manager for adequate numbers of tray passed servers for your guest
count.
Entrée Selections and Additional Charges For groups less than fifty guests, a labor charge of $50 will be made for buffet meal service. In the event that your group requires
a split plated menu, entrée selections are limited to a maximum of two selections. The hotel requires that the client produce
place cards or tickets identifying the particular entrée selected by the guest. If the hotel needs to produce more than the initial
amount guaranteed for a specific entrée, the client is responsible for paying for those additional meals.
An additional $5.00 Per Person charge will be added for all guests counts that is over the guarantee that is given on the day of
the event
BANQUET AND CATERING POLICIES
Billing An acceptable form of payment must be agreed upon during the initial booking arrangements. Acceptable forms include ad-
vance deposit, direct billing (subject to approval) or completed credit card authorization form.
Security The hotel does not assume responsibility for damage or loss of any merchandise or articles left on premise to, during or following
any event. Arrangements for security to monitor equipment or merchandise may be made through your catering contact prior to
the event (applicable fees may apply).
Decorations Your catering contact will be happy to provide you with a Vendor Guide for your flowers, centerpieces, themed décor, etc. The
hotel will not permit the affixing of anything to the walls, floors, ceilings or equipment
Lighting Requirements Meals that take place after sunset in the following locations will REQUIRE additional lighting: Parterre Gardens, Fairway Gardens
and Fairway Terrace, and the Pool. Additional lighting will be charged to the group master and can be arranged directly
through Presentation Services (PSAV). Additional lighting ensures adequate functionality for buffets and safety for all attendees.
Rentals for Outdoor Functions Hilton will provide adequate shade for food that is set in an outdoor venue. Due to limited availability, additional shade and
heat that a group would like to provide will be at the cost detailed below. Please see your event or catering manager for appro-
priate number of umbrellas and/or heaters to rent.

Zaca Mesa Viognier $52 per bottle
Viognier is a white grape variety indigenous to the Rhône Valley of France. This Viognier jumps out of the glass with honeysuckle and ripe peaches. The palate has notes of peach pit, ripe apricot, melon, citrus and a lingering touch of minerality, a signature characteristic of their sandy loam soils.
Zaca Mesa Z Cuvee $52 per bottle
Z-Cuvée is a complex Rhône-style blend. Grenache adds rich raspberry aromas and flavors; Mourvèdre brings notes of blueberry, meat and spice; Cinsault brings a touch of dusty berry.
