dr Irawan Satriotomo, PhD• dr. Irawan Satriotomo, PhD –alumni FM UGM 1995. He is
senior scientist at Department of Anesthesiology, College of Medicine, University of Florida Center for Translational Research in Neurodegenerative Disease. He is active in translational research to advance Neuroscience Consortium and other multidiscipline research
• One of his researches is “The role of intermittent hypoxia in spinal cord injury”
• Dr Irawan has determination to apply neuroscience research to prevent neurodegenerative diseases, such as Stroke, Amyotrophic Lateral Scleoris (ALS), Alzheimer, Parkinson, Huntington, Multiple Sclerosis, and Cord Injury Spinal (SCI)
• In 2014 he came to FM UGM to give lecture on: Intermittent hypoxia: Phenotypic plasticity in respiratory & non respiratory motor neurons and its clinical applications.
From Papua Land: dr Jeanne Rini P MSc, PhD, SpA
• Residency Program FM UGM, graduated 1995
• Her love and passsion to serve others has made dr Jeanne to leave all her comfort and decide to serve people in Papua. She works on Malaria problems with all limited facilities. She hopes that young doctors want to spend time to come to isolated areas to find another sides of health. “The presence of doctor and health professionals are extremely needed in those areas”
