Attack (ATK) – boosts power of physical type moves
Special Attack (SpATK) – boosts power of special type moves
Defense (DEF) – improves resistance against opponent’s physical type attack moves
Special Defense (SpDEF) – improves resistance against opponent’s special type attack moves
Health Points (HP) – determines the number of damage a Pokémon can take.
Speed (SPD) – determines the turn order in a match
EV, or effort value, points determine what the final stats of a Pokémon will be.
For every 4 EV points, you gain 1 bonus stat in that certain stat.
Maximum of 63 bonus stats from EV points or 255 EV points per stat.
Only 510 EV points can be allotted all in all.
