This is the final clip of the phone conversation, it comes to a conclusion with Maria Rossi, who is assumed to be the murdered, admits to killing the three people she talked so briefly about earlier in the phonecall.This gives the audience a bit of background information about the story.

This scary image shows a young Maria Rossi, the cut shot is only seen for a millisecond. This is used to startle the audience and make them jump with a scary image they won’t be able to recognise and it is shown so quickly.The dim lighting makes them feel uneasy.

The placement of this credit to production company ‘INSURGE’ is clever as it splits the trailer up.This is a calm break from the scary beginning which leads on to explaining a bit about the storyline of the film and give the audience a bit of information about what the phonecall was about at the start.

With the use of brighter lighting and more familiar surroundings, the audience feel more at ease watching this scene. It adds a lighter mood and gives the audience a chance to calm down a take a rest whilst watching it. This keeps them interested and holds on to their attention.

By using a news report in this trailer, it again, adds a more realistic element as it is a familiar concept that the audience is used to seeing in their everyday lives.

This shows a new character of a priest, with a concerned look on his face. This is in the same lighter location as they are all talking about Maria Rossi and her murders and exorcism.

This close up shot is used to emphasis the cut engraved in her lips.This shocks the audience as it gets very close adding an eerie feeling that something jumpy/bad is about to happen.

This over the shoulder shot shows how she is trying to draw her daughter in closer to her.

As the daughter goes in closer, so does the camera making the audience feel more involved in what is going on, giving them a shock when she screams abruptly.

Again, the use of the crackled CCTV shows the realistic side of this scene.

The dark dim lighting in this shot gives the indication that something bad is going to happen, and in addition to this the facial expressions in this shot are all very serious putting the audience on edge.

The use of darker lighting leading to bright lights shows that something is happening in that room that is significant to what is about to happen.
