Reserving Books

NOTE 1:Only users entitled to borrow books may place an item on reserve

NOTE 3:You can not reserve books from departmental libraries or with any other status than that mentioned above

NOTE 2:You can reserve books with records on-line, location BUW ..., which are currently checked out (status Due [date])

NOTE 5:Reservation means that your name will be added to the waiting list. Your book will be available tothe first person from the list for 7 days from its return

NOTE 4:You can make keyboard request for items with location BUW Magazyn and status Available orNon-Circ. (see keyboard request instructions)

NOTE 6:You can reserve any copy of desired title, so simply start from Catalog Card screen

1) Using any search method go to theMenu of Copies and Volumes screen.If the status is Due [date], click Card Scrn. button

2) Click Holds button

3) Click Holds button again

NOTE:If you are not the first person reserving this book, the screen will show you information about the waiting list

4) In the Command Line, typeID number of your Library Cardand hit Enter

here

5) In the Command Line, type:b - if you want to reserve any copy of this titlei - if you want to reserve a specific copyHit Enter

6) Hit Enter or enter the cancellation date

NOTE:You can enter cancellation date if you know how long you will need a book. That is, if you have 2 weeksto finish your work, you won’t need the book after 2 months

Reservation is completed

NOTE:The book can be returned before due date. You should check your reservation every few days

Checking status of reserve

1) Go to the Menu of Copies andVolumes screen. Status On Hold means that the book is waiting forthe first person from the reserve list. Click Card Scrn. button

3) Information about reservationand your Library Card number will be shown on screen. If the book is being held for you, H* will appear in the TYPE column
