CLARIFICATIONS: 1. In the Finish Schedule Sheet A7.3, the floor finish SC.1 calls for Sealed and Polished Concrete;
however, Spec section 033543 is for Stained Concrete polished. Could you please clarify RESPONSE: There is no stained or colored concrete. The concrete is polished where scheduled.
2. Can you provide us with the manufacturer referred to in this drawing of the screen wall? RESPONSE: This is a built screen wall, no manufacturer. 3. Does the track and associated hardware for the overhead doors need to have a powder coat
finish or standard galvanized finish? Specification 083613 Section 2.9.A TRACK, SUPPORTS AND ACCESSORIES indicates a galvanized finish. On the plans, Door Details on Page A8.1, indicated track and hardware have a powder coat finish.
RESPONSE: Tracks and associated hardware shall have powder coat finish. 4. In the specs for the standing seam metal roof panels it calls for protective film for panels. Will the
strippable protective covering be required because we roll our panels on site and we purchase coil without film coating and this would mean material and labor prices would be more.
RESPONSE: Protective covering is only required for shipping or storing. 5. Sheet a7.2 general note 5 says all CMU is epoxy but on finish key on A7.3 shows P1 as paint
doesn’t mention epoxy? RESPONSE: We don’t normally specify epoxy on the finish schedule. Info should be in specs. 7. Do we paint exposed structural ceilings and steel or just where it is specifically called out at room
113 & 114? For instance, the apparatus bay is large and it does not say to paint. Then there are electrical rooms, etc. P3 on the finish legend on A7.3 shows the items to paint are gyp ceilings, & primary exposed ceilings paint which leads me to believe all exposed ceilings paint. Reflected ceiling plan does not say paint? RESPONSE: All exposed ceilings to be painted. All to receive P.3, except where P.7 is specifically called out.
8. Do we paint scree wall shown on 2/ A1.3? RESPONSE: The steel of the screen walls is to be powder coated. 9. Are the gyp walls smooth or textured?
RESPONSE: Textured – should be in specs. 10. The specs and plans call out for (2) layers of 2.5” ISO, a tapered insulation system, and a ¼”
coverboard. With the tapered system that is also drawn the insulation thickness at the exterior walls will be up to 16”. The code for the City of Waco is R-25. The two layers of 2.5” ISO get you an R-value of 28.8. The plans are drawn showing a maximum thickness of 9 or 10 inches. It will be substantially more than that and not necessary. Is the city looking an R-30? RESPONSE: Design is based on 1” = R-value of 5 which is 5”(2 layers of 2.5”). Exact R-values

PART 3 - EXECUTION
3.1 EXAMINATION
A. Examine substrate areas and conditions, with Installer present, for compliance with requirements for installation tolerances and other conditions affecting performance of the Work.
B. Do not begin installation until mounting surfaces have been properly prepared.
C. If preparation of mounting surfaces is the responsibility of another installer, notify Architect of unsatisfactory preparation before proceeding.
D. Examine modules and array frame before installation. Reject modules and arrays that are wet, moisture damaged, or mold damaged.
E. Examine roofs, supports, and supporting structures for suitable conditions where PV system will be installed.
F. Proceed with installation only after unsatisfactory conditions have been corrected.
3.2 INSTALLATION
A. Comply with NECA 1.
B. Coordinate layout and installation of PV panels with roof assembly and other construction.
C. Support PV panel assemblies independent of supports for other elements such as roof and support assemblies, enclosures, vents, pipes, and conduits. Support assembly to prevent twisting from eccentric loading.
D. Install PV inverters, rapid shutdown, and system control in locations indicated on Drawings.
E. Install weatherseal fittings and flanges where PV panel assemblies penetrate exterior elements such as walls or roofs. Seal around openings to make weathertight. See Section 079200 "Joint Sealants" for materials and application.
F. Seismic Restraints: Comply with requirements for seismic-restraint devices specified in Section 260548.16 "Seismic Controls for Electric Systems."
G. Wiring Method: Install cables in raceways.
H. Wiring within Enclosures: Bundle, lace, and train conductors to terminal points with no excess and without exceeding manufacturer's limitations on bending radii. Install lacing bars and distribution spools.
3.3 CONNECTIONS
A. Coordinate PV panel cabling to equipment enclosures to ensure proper connections.

1. PROVIDE CONCRETE PAD FOR ALL FLOOR-MOUNTED ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT INCLUDING TRANSFER SWITCHES AND DRY-TYPE TRANSFORMERS.
