You are one of the two maintenance engineers assigned to keeping this mostly automated station running. You and your partner play a game of cards to pass the time.

Suddenly, a fueling error alert goes off. There is something wrong with one of the fueling rigs that is currently fueling a cargo vessel. One of you has to go down there.A) You volunteer to go.B) You send your partner.

You volunteer to go. You take your communicator with you and head on down to the fueling rig in question.

You get down to the fueling section and realize that there is a serious fuel build-up in the fueling rig. If it gets to critical, it could take down the whole station. You call your partner and tell him.

You partner down at the fueling section calls you to tell you that there is a serious fuel build-up in the fueling rig. If it gets to critical, it could take down the whole station. He doesn’t know what he should do.

Your partner doesn’t know what to do. You know that other than doing nothing and losing it all, there are only two options: eject the rig and ship into space and let it explode at a safe distance, saving the station OR vent the excess fuel into the fueling section, saving the ship but sacrificing yourself. Time is running short.A) Call the ship.B) Quickly eject the ship into space.

You run through the options in your head. You know that other than doing nothing and losing it all, there are only two options: eject the rig and ship into space and let it explode at a safe distance, saving the station OR vent the excess fuel into the fueling section, saving the ship but sacrificing your partner. Time is running short.A) Call the ship.B) Quickly eject the ship into space.

The monitor crackles to life. It’s a communication from the rigged ship. What you thought was an unmanned cargo vessel actually has 4 families stowed away secretly transporting themselves. This just got more complicated…

The ship is ejected into space, exploding at a safe distance from the station. You and your partner are safe, and so is the entire station, but those four families are gone forever.

The ship is saved, the station is saved. All that remains of you is the faint buzz from your partner’s communicator…

The ship is saved, the station is saved. All that remains of your partner is the faint buzz from your communicator...

The ship is ejected into space, exploding at a safe distance from the station. A signal comes in over the speaker, an SOS from right before the ship exploded. That unmanned ship had 4 families onboard. If you’d known… you ask yourself if you would have acted differently.
