LORRAINE RANALLI,a longtime Philadelphia media personality
and self-described “cook next door”
has managed to merge her passions—
broadcasting and cooking—to publish
“Gravy Wars: South Philly Foods, Feuds and
Attytudes”; to launch her syndicated radio
talk show and blog, “Cucina Chatter”; and
to release her new theatrical comedy, “La
Famiglia,” a fast-paced, funny look into
a family of highly-charged, strong, yet
loving personalities and their frequently
outlandish behavior.
From the city that brought us Rocky, cheese steaks, and soft pretzels,
comes “Gravy Wars: South Philly Foods, Feuds & Attytudes,”a humorous narrative about the Italian-American culture. Laugh out
loud as you read the truth about Italian traditions and superstitions, and
discover a slew of scrumptious original recipes that will help you win your
own kitchen competitions.

MUSICAL HEADLINERS
Moreno Fruzzetti - a native of Pisa, located inthe region of Tuscany, Italy has been capturing theears and hearts of fans worldwide for over 30 yearsand continues with no end in sight, an accomplish-mentmany artists long to achieve. However, it seemsthis vocalist has found his recipe: the combination ofhis powerful tenor sound, captivating onstage pres-ence, and a variety of operatic arias, pop music andAmerican classics.
At the young age of just 7, he learned to play theaccordion by ear making it evident his talent was a
true gift, and just like any creator, Moreno craved more. In a time where the Beat-les dominated the charts, he found his next love; drums. He began playing withlocal bands throughout Italy and later toured in places such as Holland, England,Germany, and Switzerland. Moreno got his Ërst taste of success in the early 70’swith the formation of the band ‘I Rogers’ and their national No. 1 hit in Italy,“Guarda”.
He quickly developed as a singer and brought his solo career to America in 1975.It wasn’t long before Moreno’s fan base became international. Playing in concertsand festivals across the globe, he has been able to share with us his passion forall genre’s of music. Song selections that range from the 1940’s to present andof course his love for the Golden Era of Italian music along with classical musicfrom centuries ago. His sound and style have evolved over the years, and with18 albums recorded to date, each one has its own Êavor! In addition to his di-verse sound andmelodic voice, it’s Moreno’s performance that has won fans overacross America, Australia, Italy, France and Canada.

InMemoriamSalvatore John “Tore” Fiore
1951 - 2018
A colorful and passionate promoter of all things “Delco”A tireless cheerleader for Delaware County, Mr. Fiore was the executive director of Destination Delco, Delaware County’s visitors’ bureau,an agency he revitalized, rebranded and relocated to its present headquarters in the historic Rose Tree Tavern in Rose Tree Park.
Born in 1951, Tore was a 1968 graduate of Sharon Hill High School. He attended West Chester University while proudly serving his countryas a member of the United States Army Reserve from 1971-1977.
Tore parlayed his showmanship, creativity and communication skills into a long career in TV, radio, special events planning and public relations. He had a quick wit and could create a pun-filled phrase to promote any endeavor and regaled everyone with his “A list” jokes for any occasion. He described himself as a “humorist, humanist and humidor all rolled into one.”
He started his career working on the Mike Douglas Show, then opened Checkmate Productions, a special events management company, andserved as special projects manager for the late State Rep. Matthew Ryan.
Since 2004, as executive director of Destination Delco, he worked tirelessly to enhance the image, build the commerce, attract tourists andsustain the hospitality industry in Delaware County. During his tenure, he grew the hotel occupancy rates and partnered with Philadelphia’sTourism Bureau to broaden the city’s appeal to include Delaware County’s rich cultural attractions.
Accomplishments he was most proud of included serving as executive producer for the annual Walk for the Wounded event in Rose Tree Park, that aids disabled veterans through Operation First Response.
He also coordinated sponsorships that launched the Delaware County Summer Festival, organized the Riverfront Ramble for five years, hostedan online radio show called “The Delco Show,” and organized a reunion of the Rose Tree Hunt Club at its original location in Rose Tree Park.
Tore was a devoted family man; he enjoyed his Doberman pinschers; he was an avid golfer and member of Concord Country Club; he wasa huge Phillies fan; and he drew on his Italian heritage to host spaghetti and meatball dinners for the 1992 Strath Haven High School football team.
His civic endeavors included volunteering as a referee for the Media Youth Center, umpiring for the Media Little League and assisting with theRose Tree Colts. He had also raised funds for the Elwyn Development Center in honor of a late niece of his.
His accomplishments earned him the Person of the Year Award from the Associazione Regionale Abruzzese Delco in 2013 and the LifetimeAchievement Award from the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce in 2016.
Donations in Mr. Fiore’s name, are graciously accepted by Operation First Response,20037 Dove Hill Road, Culpepper, VA 22701 or operationfirstresponse.org
