as Herodotus says history should be studied geographically and geography should be
studied historically

POORLY ADDED JAMMU AND KASHMIR GEOGRAPHY IN THE TEXT BOOK
• Although the board of school education has incorporated the Geography of Jammu and Kashmir in the textbook but they have only given the statistics of J&K there is not any content based and the conceptual knowledge about the state .
• They have only replaced Hindu names with Muslim names and at some places they have added name of some native places in the content but it is not palatable for a kashmiri student when he find some names still unknown Eg:- page 9 stapu name of a game is mentioned .
Evaluation
• Actually they have copied the NCERT BOOK and added some facts about kashmir in the book but they have copy pasted the question answers section from NCERT itself and have not mentioned about the jammu and kashmir geography which they have added in the book in the questions answer session .
NEEDS TO CHANGE
• The entire chapter No 7 is without evaluation• Blurred and double printing of names in the
map can cause vertigo in children• The book is enhancing Rote learning coz of its overburdened
static's i.e: a memorization technique based on repetition. There is greater understanding if students commit a formula to memory through exercises that use the formula rather than through rote repetition
Repetition of the same content in two classes thus given more emphasis on economy rather than Geography

OVER BURDEN OF THE CONTENT
LAST CHAPTER ABOUT THE NATIVE PLACE
• CHRONOLOGICAL GAP IN KASHMIR HISTORY, IT ONLY MENTIONS FROM 1753-1841 (AFGHAN RULE IN KASHMIR ) IN MODERN HISTORY THUS RESULTS IN CHAOS AND CONFUSION
CIVICS IN CLASS 8 TH
• Name of the chapters • Foreign policy of India• India and her neighbours• The united nations • Global issues • Disaster management
CIVICS
Students are under more stress and burden during board exams. They are
more anxious during this period as it is a test of their whole year’s performance in studies as they carry huge expectations of their parents, tension of securing good
marks fear of failure and many more aspects to the examination hall.
The questions are same as asked in UPSE AND IN JKPSC
RESULTS IN MORE ANXIETY AMONG STUDENTS
DIASASTER MANAGEMANT
• THERE IS A WHOLE CHAPTER OF DIASASTER MANAGEMANT • BUT VAGUE CONCEPTS OF DISASTERS AND ONLY STASTICTICS • NO WERE IS MENTIONED • HOW TO MAKE LIFE BOAT • HOW TO AVOID INJURIES AT THE TIME OF EARTH QUAKE • FIRST AID TECHNIQUES • LIKE • HOW TO DEAL WITH CHOCKING • ARTIFICAL BREATHING • HOW TO DEAL WITH TRAUMATIC CONDITION • RESCUE OPERATIONS • AT LEAST HOW TO OPERATE FIRE EXTINGUISHER
