The Introduction to 5710 West Mercer Way... With pride, our first day on the market provides an opportunity for us to present this exciting home to you. Effectively a new home, every inch done with meticulous precision. The site is extraordinary. The planning and execution done by a Monet master of landscape. With the background of the city and lake, each frame is an inspiration.

Sited on an exquisite private lane ~ a cascading brick fan pattern parallel with meandering Olde Vancouver century curbstone path...both supported by an over-scale easel and the spectacular palette of Lake Washington blue, Seattle’s colorful skyline towers, lush vibrant gardens. Specifications unlimited: honed limestone and marble; quartz; carved Travertine; forest of cherry cabinets...a canopy of warm Yellow River granite. Exotic 3/4 solid 5” plank hardwood. The kitchen-greatroom with the names of Miele, Wolf, Bosch, U-line, Subzero is a memorable award candidate! Sleek fireplace pebbles are effervescent.

The lower level is a gathering room that opens to a party-table terrace. Pale celery walls, crisp neutrals. Fascinating flooring.

The floors have a noise barrier build underneath them so dance away. The driveway could be gated at the street. Beyond the home a bridge spans a small gulley.

Animated, energetic, bold views...gardens of outdoor sitting parlor, BBQ retreat, flat lawn. Graceful gazebo, two more decks and hot tub in an arbor-framed corner. An ode to waterfalls, terraces, fountains, urns, tete-a-tete hidden pockets. It is as if a gifted painter did pastels of the year round grounds.

Mercer Island Parks

Mercer Island has 475 acres of parks and open spaces. Mercer Island Parks are open for year-round enjoyment and are the

perfect place for a variety of activities like: baseball, soccer, volleyball, having a picnic or taking a walk with the family.

Pioneer Park is our largest park, with 113 acres of beautiful forest and 6.6 miles of trails. The Park has been kept in a

natural state so that Island residents and other visitors can easily “get out” in the woods through the course of their daily

lives. Roads divide the park into three distinct quadrants.

Located on the northeast end of Mercer Island, Luther Burbank Park features spectacular views of Lake Washington, and has facilities for several water-based activities including swimming, boating and fishing. It is also a large park of 77 acres, and portions of its waterfront and wetlands foster a variety of wildlife such as 155 species of birds, beaver, muskrats and rabbits

There are many smaller parks, beach parks and street ends, providing an excellent opportunity for waterfront access and pursuing recreational activites.

Mercer Island schools

The Mercer Island School District is comprised of three elementary schools, one Middle School and one High School. The facilities, curriculum, instruction, and effective use of technology as a tool for learning are all factors in preparing students to think and succeed globally while using technology as an inherent part of everyday life. The district has more teachers with advanced education degrees than any other district in the Seattle area. It is known to be one of the highest assessment test-scoring districts in the State of Washington, and among the top in the nation.
