Behavior Consequences• Warning• Time out – removal from

• Behavior Plan requires parent signature and needs to be returned next day.

Responsible Learners (R.L.)• How can students avoid pulling R.L. Cards?

Behavior Rewards• Term #1• Reward = Big Screen Movie and

Pizza night at school.• How to earn = Lose 20 or less

R.L. Cards• Term #2• Reward = Bowling Party during

school time.• How to earn = Lose 15 or less

R.L. Cards• Term #3• Reward = End of Year Bash :

Competitions, Games, Pizza, and Swimming

Homework Expectations• All homework sent home on Monday• Packet due on Friday• Math homework due Thursday• 80 minutes of R.A.H.

(requires parent signature)• Writing –Edited by adult• Completed signed homework can earn Friday Fun• If completed homework is turned in on Monday,

students can earn ½ credit.• If not turned in, it will be a zero in all areas for the

week.

In Class Work Expectations• All assignments are completed and handed in on time.• If not completed in class it becomes homework that is due

the following day.• Assignments not turned in will receive a zero.• If a student is absent, make-up work will be due within the

same number of days they were absent. • Make-up work will be made available upon the student’s

return from being absent. Assignments will not be available ahead of time.

• It is your child’s responsibility to gather any missed work from all teachers and turn it in by specified time.

• Attendance is key to your child’s success in fifth grade.

Testing…1,2,3• On the weekly spelling test, if a student earns a grade

that is under an ‘A’, they must write each misspelled word correctly 10 times for homework and return it the next day.

• Graded tests will be handed back on Monday.• All weekly tests that receive a grade of ‘D’ or ‘F’ will

require a parent signature and will need to be returned the following day. We will also require this for any major subject area tests.

Grading• Grading Scale for Reading, Writing, Math, Spelling,

Social Studies, and Science is as follows:

• A = 90-100 %• B = 80-89%• C = 70-79%• D = 60-69%• F = 59% and below

• P.E. and Music will be graded as a meets or does not meet.

Weighted Grades• Math = Homework 20%

In Class 80%

• Writing = Homework 20%In Class 80%

• Reading = RAH 20%In Class 80%
