DESCRIPTION

Each 44 Bikes frame is built right from my shop here in New Hampshire. I take tremendous pride in the fact that each one is made by hand from U.S. sourced materials whenever possible. I don’t choose fly by night operations; only the finest craftsmen are employed for component, material, paint / finishing work. Whenever possible, I spec only OEM’s that make their components in these great 50 states. Your frame is guaranteed for the life of the rider. Rest assured that if something does happen, you’re covered. RIDE each one with pride.

Bicycle as Art. The great debate between the fine line of art and craft. At 44 Bikes, I supply the tools for the ride. I don't build someone's first bicycle. I build a cyclists next bicycle. The one that's going to take them on an adventure high and low, far and wide painting a crystal clear picture worth filling volumes of memories. The metal I work with speaks volumes to me and hopefully, that personality and nuance is passed along with each build to be interpreted by the rider again and again. Beauty ridden in the eye of the beholder. My bikes get you out there. Get you lost. Get you found. They speak volumes of roads, trails and paths less traveled. If you have a keen ear and a sharp perception, the material will speak to you as well.

ROAD BIKES · The Huntsman"Road" is a relative word. In my neck of the woods, not all roads are paved. I build my road bikes for versatility. Skinny tires, fat tires, cross tires. Room for fenders. Room for mud. Race it on the weekend. Beat the hell out of it during the week. Take it out on a long tour. You know that road you keep passing on your way home from work? Find out where that leads... The Huntsman is the bike that covers all the bases. And what's great about this one is there's a laundry list of options that I can tailor the ride to your specific needs. Not everyone needs a bike that can handle 42c tires, disc brakes and drop bars... but hey, I can build it if that's what you need.

Forged from the pure trail experience of classic East Coast technical trails, this is the platform built for tak-ing your ride to the next level. I take my mountain bikes seriously and I'm lucky to have trails right from the doors of my New England shop. The endless build, ride, refine and back to the drawing board. Repeat. I package the essence of the trail as best as I can into each build so the rider can share only the best experi-ence through my work. Truly one with the trail and an extension of the rider. These mountain bikes are ready to hit the trail and head off Into the Shred.

ADVENTURE BIKES · The Snakedriver

As Pictured: True Temper Steel, Paragon Machine Works Dropouts, 44mm Head Tube, Hooded Sliding Dropouts and Braze-ons, 170mm Spaced, Disc Brake Compatible, Internal Cable Routing, ENVE Han-dlebars and Seat Post, Thomson Stem, Cane Creek Headset, Fox Fork, Sram 1x10 Drivetrain, Wolftooth Dropstop 28t Chainring, Paul Components Rhub/Whub Hubs laced to Surly Rolling Darryl Rims Dormant Sparkle Red Powder by Rev Limit Auto · Merrimack, NH

Paths less traveled. Directions unknown. Lost and found. This is the story of the Snakedriver. It's the bike built for going where no rider dares to go. So pick your adventure: Fat bikes. 29+. Monster Cross. Maybe all 3 or none of the above. This is the bike that gets you "out there". 4 seasons, come rain, snow, sunshine, mud, muck, blood and picking bugs from between your teeth. Let's talk about your adventure and figure out what wheels best suit the trails and roads you're riding. Pack it up with racks, frame bags, lights and extra bottle cages. Classic diamond frames or low slung swoopy sweetness. The Snakedriver know's the unknown path better than most...
