DHP Engineering’s Packaged Vapor Compression Distillers (VCD) and Mechanical Vapor Recompression (MVR)
systems are used for the distillation of sea water, brackish water, contaminated ground water, and waste water
through an effective heat pump system. Compression distillers are a simple and efficient method of producing a
constant supply of high quality fresh water with only minimal power consumption. The evaporation technologies in
our packaged vapor compression distillers utilize a specially designed turbo compressor for energy efficient
production of high purity water for drinking or for reusing in industrial applications.

Main Components
The main components of a vapor compression distiller or mechanical vapor recompression distiller include an
evaporation tank, condensation tank, plate-type main heat exchanger, turbo steam compressor, circulation
pump, secondary heat exchangers, electric heater, pumps for condensed/concentrated/raw water, equipment
controller, monitor gauges, and operation control panel.

As a result of extensive experience in developing compression distillation systems, our Turbo VCD and MVR
systems are very reliable and energy efficient. Our systems have been tested by the Korea Institute of Energy
Research to confirm our in-house testing for energy efficiency and also by the Korea Chemical Test Institute for
chemical analysis of the treated waste water ensuring high quality pure water.
