RevelSystemshasentirelyredonetheCashOfficereport,turningitintoatooltohelpyoumanageyourbackofficecashfromsafedropsthroughbankdeposits.ThefirstpageofthereportistheManageCashTool.YourfirststepistoconfirmyourSafeDrops,recountingthemandinputtingtheconfirmedamount.Revelwillcalculatethevariancebetweenthedeclaredamountandtheconfirmedamount.ClickSavewhenyouhaveconfirmedallthesafedropsyouwishtoconfirmatthatmoment.

Thesecondstepistocreatesafecountsoutofyoursafedrops.CheckallthesafedropsyouwishtoincludeinthesafecountandclickCreate.BydefaulttheSafeCountreportingdatedefaultstothedateofthefirstSafeDrop.Youmaychangethisdateifyouwish.RevelusesthereportingdatetoreporttheSafeCountamountsontheOperationsreport.

Thethirdistocreatethebankdeposit.CheckalltheSafeCountsthatwillbepartofthebankdepositandclickDeposit.YoumayenteraDepositIDforthedepositifyouwish.InputtheamountoftheCashthatwillgotothebank(theToDepositamount)andRevelwillcalculatetheremainderasstayinginthebusiness(theSafeBalance).

Note,SupportforSafeBalancesisoptional.Youmaychoosetoalwaysdeposittheentirecashamounttothebank.SupportforSafeBalancesiscontrolledbythesettingonReportsettingspage:CashOfficeTrackSafeBalance.

AfteryouhaveclickedcreateontheBankDepositPopup,thedepositshallbecreatedinaHeldState.Itispossibletorequirethatusersinputtheirpasswordpriortocreatedbankdepositsandlogthatactivityintheactionlog,asasortofelectronicsignature.Thisisastaffonlysetting,socontactyoursupportagenttoenableit.

BankDepositsthatareintheheldstatecanbedeleted.DeletingabankdepositreturnsallSafeCountsassociatedtotheDeposittoStep3:CreateBankDeposit.

Whenyouarereadytosendthebankdeposittothebank,changeitsstatusinStep4toSent.AfteryoureceivenoticefromthebankthattheDeposithasbeenregistered,moveitsstatustoValidated.Apopupwillappearallowingyoutoinputtheamountthebankreconciliationamount.ClickconfirmonthepopupandthedepositshallmoveofftheManageCashToolandexclusivelyintothereportingsection.

InadditiontotheManageCashTool,CashofficeincludesreportsforallphasesCashManagementactivity:SafeDrops,SafeCounts,BankDepositsandSafeBalances(ifenabled).Thereportsarefilterablebyavarietyofdata,includingstatus,date,employeeandcurrency(ifmorethanoncecurrencyisused).Entriesalsohyperlinktorelatedentries.Forexample,SafeCountshyperlinktotheSafeDropsthattheycontain.

Reportscanbeexportedtoexcelorcsvorprinted.ItisalsopossibletoprintreportsofeachbankdepositfromthebankdepositreportaswellasfromtheManageCashTool.

RevelhasaddedaCashManagementsectiontotheOperationsreporttohelpusersunderstandtheirbackofficecash.Thesectionincludesthefollowingentries:

CDS

UserInterfaceEnhancementsRevelhasredesignedthewayitdisplaysitemsbeingsoldbyweightontheCDS,bringintolinewiththerestoftheUI.

Revelhasredesignedforgreaterusabilitythescreenwherecustomersmayentertheiremailstoreceivereceipts.

Insplitscreenmode,iftheCDSdisplaysavideothatdoesnotcovertheentirescreenarea,thebackgroundshallnowbecoloredblackasopposedtowhite.

Revelhasmadeseveralchangestothecoloroptionsthatwereintroducedin2.34.PrimaryColorhasbeenrenamedDarkerColorandSecondaryColorisnowLighterColor.Darkercolorisusedforalltextandbuttonsthatexistonwhitebackground.Usersnowmaynowselectwhichcolorisusedintheheaderbar.Itsoppositewillbeusedforheaderbartextandbuttons.

VideoContentNowAvailableonCDSUsersmaynowlinktoYouTubeorVimeoVideosorexternallyhosted.mp4or.mv4filesfordisplayofpromotionalmaterialontheirCDS.FullScreenvideos(displayedwhentheCDSisidle)andHalfScreenVideos(displayedontheleftsideoftheCDSinSplitScreenMode)aresupported.Todisplayvideos,navigatetoSettings->AdvancedSettings->CustomerDisplaySystemandchooseVideounderSplitScreen–UseMediaType,and/orWelcomeScreen–UserMediatype.Then,enterthelinktothevideoinSplitScreenVideoand/orWelcomeScreenVideo.Note,ifthevideocannotbeplayed,thentheCDSwilldefaulttotheSplitScreenImageorWelcomeScreenImage.

CustomerAccountCreationandManagementontheCDSCustomersmaynowcreateandsignintotheiraccountsontheCDS.EnablethisfeatureinthenewCustomerCreationSectionofCustomerInfosettings.Check‘AllowCustomerCreationonCDS’andselectwhichfieldsanewcustomerwillberequiredtocomplete.Alsoselecthowyourwishyourcustomerstologintotheiraccounts,viaphone,emailorloyaltynumber.IfyouwantaRevelloyaltyaccounttoautomaticallybegeneratedwhenthecustomersignsup,besurethat“AllowAutomaticLoyaltyGeneration”isconfiguredundertheLoyaltySectionofGift,RewardsandAdminCardssettings.

Onceenabled,theCDSwilldisplayabuttonintheupperrightinvitingthecustomertologinandalinktocreateanaccountiftheydon’talreadyhaveone.Oncecustomerssignin,wewilldisplaytheirloyaltypoints.Customersmaytaptheirnamestoperformminoreditstotheiraccounts.Theywillbeabletoredeemanyrewardstheyhaveearnedanduseanygiftcardslinkedtotheiraccounts.

Ifcustomerselecttocreateanewaccount,theywillinputtheirfirstandlastname,aswellastheirphonenumber,emailaddressand/orbirthdateasrequiredbythesettings.IfAutomaticLoyaltyGenerationissupported,RevelwillcreateanewloyaltyaccountforthecustomerinaccordancewiththeAutomaticLoyaltyGenerationSettings.

AlertingoninterferingwithcustomercreateIfthecustomercreationscreensareopenontheCDSwhenthecashierattemptstomovetothepaymentscreens,Revelwilldisplayanalertandaskifthecashierwantstocancelthecustomercreationorwait.

CUSTOMERS

ReferenceIDaddedtocustomerlistsTheReferenceIDcolumnhasbeenaddedtofullscreencustomerlists.

ImprovedSyncingIfforwhateverreasoncustomerdatacannotbesyncedwiththeManagementConsole,itshallbeaddedtotheresyncqueuetobesyncedwhenconnectionsarerestored.

UserInterfaceEnhancementsTheCustomersscreensasaccessedfromthedashboardhavebeenadjustedtobemoreinlinewithAppleguidelines.Tappingcustomersnowopensafullpagescreenwiththecustomerlistontheleft.Onceacustomerisselected,theirdetailsappearintherightpane.TappingAddNewwillbringupthecustomercreationpopup.

TheCustomerDetailsscreenaccessfromOrderDetailshasbeenupdatedtobeinlinewithotherCustomerDetailsdisplays.

Revelhasupdatedthefullscreencustomerlistthatappearswhenaccessingcustomerthroughsuchchannelsasgiftcardmanagementordeliveryprompts.

TheCustomerandCallNamepopupthatappearswhenpromptingforcustomerorcallnamehasbeenupdatedtobeinlinewithothermodernizedpopups.BothCustomersandCallNamesareavailablefromthesamepopup,byswitchingthetabsatthetop.

AddNotestoAddressesRevelhasaddedanotesfieldtotheaddressrecordsassociatedtocustomers.Itisanticipatedthatthesenoteswillbeusedfordeliveryinstructions.Assuch,theywillbedisplayedwherevertheymaybehelpfulfordelivery,suchasintheDeliveryManagementConsole,onDeliveryReceipts,andinOnlineOrdering.OntheManagementConsole,thenotesmaybeviewedandmanagedontheCustomer

UpdatedSettingsInordertosupportCreationandSignIntocustomeraccountsontheCDS,RevelhasaddedagroupofsettingstoCustomerInfoSettings.CheckAllowCustomerCreationonCDSandthenselectwhichfieldsarerequiredforAccountCreation.AlsoselecthowcustomerswilllogintotheiraccountsontheCDS.

RevelhasupdatedtheHourlySalesgraphtoshowsalesdatafromthepastthreeweeks.

SalesSummaryTrendingComparisonChangeThetrendingnumbersontheSalesSummarygraphnowrefertothesamedaylastweek.Thathavealsobeenupdatedtomakeitclearthattheyrepresentpercentageincreasesordecreasesoverthatdate.

ViewingGraphDatafromOtherEstablishmentsAssumingtheManagementConsolesetting,Reports->RestrictiPadGraphsbyEstablishmentisfalse,usersmaynowselecttoviewgraphdatafromotherestablishments.IfthegraphsaresettoEnterpriseReporting(viathestaffonlyAccesscontrol),thenusersmayselecttoviewaggregategraphdataforallestablishments.Note,usersmusthaveaccessrightstoanestablishmenttoseeitsdata.

UserSortPreferencesSavedTimemanagementnowsavestheuserssortpreferences.

DISCOUNTS

ModifiedReplacementLogicDiscountreplacementlogichasbeenreworkedintheeventtheuserattemptstoapplyadiscounttoanobjectthatalreadyhasone.NowRevelwillwarnonlyifthenewandexistingdiscountsareincompetitionwitheachother,andtheexistingdiscountwouldactuallybereplaced.

UserInterfaceChangesRevelhasupdatedtheDiscountspage.Bydefault,onlytheAutoApplyandItemLevelcheckboxesshallappearonthereport.However,usersmayclickthePreferencesbuttontodisplaytheTaxedandActive(new)checkboxes.BydisplayingtheActivecheckbox,usersmayenableordisablemultiplediscountsatonce.

RepeatingCashOffDiscountsThisfeatureallowsuserstoapplyadollaramountdiscountforeveryXdollarsspentmultipletimeswithinthesameorder(i.e.forevery$20spent,get$2offtheorder.)Thisisonlyapplicabletoorderleveldiscounts.

"Minimumamount"dictateshowmuchthecustomermustspend,eitheracrossthewholeorderoronaqualifyinggrouporclassorproduct.RepeatingCashoffDiscountsalsoparticipateinautodiscountsrules.

Setting

Multiplegiftredemptions(giftwithpurchase.)Usersmaynowtosetupagiftwithpurchasediscountsthatmaybeappliedmultipletimeswithinthesameorder.Theusercansetupthediscounttoapplyautomaticallyormanually.

Whenmanuallyapplied,theuserwillhaveascreentoapplythediscountwheretheywillbeabletoselectthenumberoftimesforthediscounttoapplyafterclickingthePaybutton.

OptiontoprintanadditionalreceiptwithdiscountdetailsTheoptiontoprintanadditionalreceiptwithdiscountdetailsisnowcontrolledbytheReceiptsetting,“Additionaldiscountdetailsforseparatereceipt”.Ifenabled,afieldwillbeexposedonDiscountdetailswheretheyusermayinputanytexttheywanttoprintoutonasupplementaryreceipt.

WholesaleComboDiscountsUsersmaynowapplytheDiscountflag“Wholesale”toCombodiscounts,akaRepricediscountswhere“repricetosumofproducts”istrue.IftheWholesaleflagisinvoked,theproduct(s)intheRepriceDiscountwillactuallyberepriced.Thatistosay,thesavingwillnotbeexpressedasadiscount,butasanewprice.Thismeansthattheproduct(s)will*not*appearasdiscountedontheorderscreen.Rathertheywilljusthaveanewprice.Further,thediscountwillnotappearindiscountreports.

ExactpricediscountperproductincombosItisnowpossibletosettheexactpriceofeachproduct(orratherproductgrouporclass)withinacombodiscount.Combodiscountsarerepricediscountsthatrequireaproductfromeachclassorgroupandapplytherepricetothesumtotaloftheproducts.Traditionally,Revelwouldassessthediscountagainstthehighestpriceitem.Byenabling,“SetdiscountpricepergroupforCombodiscounts”underAdvancedSettings,customerswillbeabletosetapriceagainsteachgrouporclassinthediscount.Thepricemustbelessthanorequaltothepriceoftheleastexpensiveiteminthegrouporclass,andthetotalpricesmustequaltherepriceamount.

ReplicateDiscountsRevelhasaddedtheabilitytocopyexistingdiscountstomakenewones.Clickthecopyiconnexttotheediticonbyadiscountandthengivethediscountanewname.

StickyColumnHeadsThecolumnheadersandemployeenameshavebeenmadestickyonSchedules,TimeWorkedandPayroll.Thismeanstheywillnotdisappearastheuserscrollsdownorright.

Auto-GeneratePINS

Usersmaynowenforceauto-generationofPINSfornewemployeesbycheckingthe“EnforceAutoGeneration”sub-settingunderAdvancedPOSsettings->AutoGenerateEmployeePINS.Ifautogenerationisenforced,thenonewillnotbeabletoedittheautogeneratedpinwhilecreatingtheemployee.Ifcreatingemployeesviaimport,anyuserinputPINSwillbeignored.Assumingtheuserhasthecorrectadminrights,theymayeditthePINaftertheemployeehasbeencreated.

ENTERPRISE

CDSBrandingUsersmaynowmanagelogosandCDSWelcomeScreenimagesattheenterpriselevel.

EMSTaxesItisnowpossibletomanagewhichtaxesacustomergroupisexemptfromontheEMS,assumingtheexempttaxeshavethesamenameonthebaseandtargetestablishments.

DisableeditingEMSEstablishmentGroupsSincetheEnterprisefunctionalityforEstablishmentGroupswillbeincludedinthefutureiterations,RevelhasdisabledtheEMSfeatureofmanagingestablishmentgroups.IfthesettingwithinthedivisionisenabledforEnterpriseMenu(underestablishmentssettingsinEMS),thentheestablishmentgroupfunctionwillnotbeavailable.

GIFT CARDS

LimitManualGiftCardFundingItisnolongerpossibletomanuallyaddfundstogiftcardsaspartofthepaymentprocess.Instead,cardsmayonlybecreatedorloadedfortheamountofthegiftcardpurchased.

GiftCardUserInteractionModificationsTheimplementationoftheRestrictedGiftCardAccesspermissionhasbeenenhancedforthenewUI.UserswiththeRestrictedGiftCardAccesstokenmaycreateoraddvaluetogiftcardsfromtheDashboard.UserswithouttheRestrictedGiftCardAccesstokenwillneedtoinputthepinofauserwhohasthetokentodoanythingotherthanviewtheamountonanexistinggiftcard.

DisableGCLookupviaStoreCreditInordertofixasecurityholewhereuserswereabletoaddvaluetogiftcardsbylookingthemupthroughstorecredit,RevelhasdisabledtheabilitytocallupGiftCardsbypressingStoreCredit.

INSIGHTS APP

QuickEmployeeBreakViewUsersofInsightscannowseeataglanceiftheiremployeesareonpaidbreaks(asopposedtounpaidbreaks)viathelittleclockandcoinsiconthatappearsnexttothewords,“OnBreak”.

INVENTORY

EmailalertforsitetositetransfersforreceivingstoreOnemaynowsendanemailtothereceivingstorewhenastoretostoretransferisinitiated.Whenthestoretostoretransferisfinalized,theuserwillseeapop-updisplaythatwillallowtheusertomodifytheemailaddressthealertissentto.ThetransferdetailswillcomeasanattachedPDF.

TheemailaddresswithinthisUIispopulatedbasedonthevalueonthereceivingstoresetwithinEstablishment>Establishmentsettings>Email.

ProductPriceonInventoyExportsProductPricehasbeenaddedtoInventoryExports,afterthenameandbeforethebarcode.Thefieldisforinformationalpurposesonlyandcannotbeeditedfromthisexport.

ForcestocktakeattheproductlevelManagersarenowabletospecifyproductsandcategoriesthatshouldbeinventoried.

MultipleReorder/StockUnitsperVendorItisnowpossibleforaproductoringredienttohavemultipleReorder/StockUnitsassociatedwithasingleVendor.EachReorderUnitcanhaveitsownVendorID,Reorderquantityandprice,andtaxrate.MultiplestockunitspervendorarecreatedandmanagedinInventory/Vendors.Thelistofproductsandingredientsassociatedtoavendorhasbeenupdatedtoaccommodatethischange.ProductsandIngredientsarenowlistedtogether,thoughyoumayfiltertooneortheother.

OneStockUnitpervendormustbetheprimarystockunitforthatvendorandshallbetheunitthatpurchaseordersdefaultto.ThePrimaryStockunitforthePrimaryVendorremainstheonlyvendorandstockunitthatcanmaintainedfromProductImport/Export.

RMAscannowimpactaverageweightedcostTraditionally,anycostenteredintoanRMAforreturningaproducttoavendorhadnoimpactontheaverageweightedcostofthatproduct.RMAsaffectedonlyproductquantity.However,businesscanchoosetohavetheaverageweightedcostreflectRMAsbyenablingthesetting,“UpdatesaveragecostperunitbyRMAreturnamount”intheInventorysectionofthesettings.Note,thisisastaffonlysetting,sopleasecontactyoursupportagenttoenableit.

ItisnowpossibletocreateRMAsforproductsthathavebeendeactivatedInactiveproductsmanynowbeselectedtoRMA’sforreturningtothevendor.

InventoryRestrictionsperProductItisnowpossibletoenforceinventoryrestrictionsonthePOSforspecificproductsonly,asopposedtoallproducts,decreasingnetworkstressandUIclutter.Simplyenable“DoNotAllowSaleofthisproductwithoutstockonhand”ontheproduct’sdetailspage,anditwillnotbepossibletoaddthatproducttoanorderifitsinventoryfallstozeroorbelow.Itisnotnecessarytoactivate“SyncInventory”forthisfeaturetowork.

MultipleUOMonsinglePOItisnowpossibletoorderthesameproductonthesamepurchaseordermultipletimes,usingdifferentstockunits.

RemovetaxwhilereceivingTaxIncludedcountrieshavedifferentwaysofhandlingwhetherornotthetaxshouldberemovedfromthepricewhenenteredintoinventoryviapurchaseorderordirectinventoryinteraction.Previously,Revelneverremovedthetax.Nowhowever,clientsmaychoosetohavethetaxremovedfromproductsreceivedviapurchaseorderand/ordirectinventoryactionbyenablingtheInventorySetting,“Removetaxfromitemcostwhenreceivingitemsintoinventory.”Thisisastaffonlysettingsocontactyoursupportrepresentativetoenableit.

DisableAdjustCostunderSettings/InventoryBychecking,DisableAdjustCostunderSettings/Inventory,userscannowpreventanymanualcostadjustmentsaspartofinventoryinteractions,bothontheManagementConsoleandonthePOS.Note,thismeansthattheonlywayanitemscostperunitcanbecorrectedisviaimport.

ForceStockTakeonaproductlevel

Withthisfeature,wehaveenabledtheabilitytoincludeasetofproductoringredientswithinthePhysicalInventoryprocess.Thisallowsuserstoaddasetofproducts/ingredientstothestocktakethatwilldisplayasalistontheinventoryapplicationasneededtobescannedforthephysicalinventorytobecompleted.

Theupdatedscreentoaddingproductstothephysicalinventoryisbelow.Asauserthatissettingupaphysicalinventory,youmaynowaddproductstothephysicalinventorytobescannedonthephysicalinventoryapplication.Theusercannowalsonamethesectionwithafieldtheyfindlogicaltodescribethesectionthatneedstobescanned(i.e.cokesorchips.)Userscanaddmultiplesections.

Afterassigningtheproductstothephysicalinventory,whentheusernavigatestotheapplication,theywillseetheproductslistedthatneedtobescannedunderthe“inprogress”tab.Afteraproducthasbeenscanned,thiswillmovetothe“completed”tab.

Aftertheuserhascompletedthephysicalinventoryfromthephysicalinventoryapplication,theuserwillseeanewscreenintheMCforcompletingthephysicalinventory.Withinthisview,theusercanleveragethesamefeaturesforrequestingarecount,whichwill

sendthatsectionbacktothephysicalinventoryapplicationforrescan.Wehavealsomadethe“endphysicalinventory”buttondisableduntilallactionsonthepagearecompleted.Thiswillpreventusersfromerroneouslycompletingthephysicalinventorywithoutallrequireddatabeingadded.

Wehavealsoenabledtheabilitytodeleteasectionfromthephysicalinventorymanagementscreen.Thisallowsuserstoremoveasectionfromthephysicalinventory.Thisfeatureishiddenbehindtheellipsesonthepagetopreventanyaccidentaldeletions.

Oncethe“delete”functionhasbeenenabled,theuserswillseea“trashcan”iconthatwillallowtheusertodeletethesection.

CreateadocumentforstockmovementsatthelineitemlevelInthisstory,wehaveenabledtheabilitytoprintlineitemsontheProductInventoryLog.ThisallowstheusertohaveapaperdocumentthattheycankeepinstorerecordsforanyInventoryMovement(atEMSorEstablishmentlevel)

WorkflowforrejectingstoretostoretransferforreceivingestablishmentInpreviousdesign,whenastore-to-storetransferwasavailableinareceivingstore,theusercouldonlyacknowledgethetransferandhadnoabilitytorejectthetransfer.Thisnewworkflowenablesafeaturethatallowsthereceivingstoretorejectastoretostoretransfer.

Torejectthestoretostoretransfer,thereceivingstorewouldgotothetransferscreen(Inventory>Transfers.)
