One-day workshop: In our modern archival world, issues of truth and transparency coincide with how archival institutions provide access to its records. LAC’s Block Review process is a hands on, practical procedure based on archival methodology and practice.

X 'See Through' Archives: Opening Your Archives with Visual Analytics and the Web (full day)(Wednesday, June 6, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm); max 25 persons Early Fee $175+ GST; Regular $200+ GST• Location: TBD• Presenters: Victoria Lemieux, UBC and Devon Mordell, UBCOne-day workshop: In this workshop, pairs of participants will use a supplied dataset to learn how to clean, process,document, visualize, and post the visualizations they create to an on-line site to offer users a novel shareable product(chart, infographic, data story) for archival exploration. This workshop is geared towards participants with little or noprevious experience with data anlaytics and/or information visualization.
