sponsors and become a partner and category naming rights sponsor of the 2015 Tasmanian Community
Achievement Awards.
The aims and objectives of the Awards are to encourage, acknowledge and reward the valuable
contribution individuals, group, communities and businesses are making throughout Tasmania.
The Awards, entering their 8th year, is one of Tasmania’s most prestigious Community Awards Programs.
The Awards are proudly supported by Southern Cross Television, HeartFM, The Examiner and The
Advocate.
The Hon Will Hodgman MP, Premier of Tasmania is Patron of the Awards.
Our marketing and promotional campaign utilises all areas of the media, social media, direct mail, local
government and corporate and community participation. As a category naming rights sponsor, Your
Company can be assured of receiving extensive positive recognition throughout Tasmania.
AIMS & OBJECTIVES
The Tasmanian Community Achievement Awards recognise, encourage and reward Tasmania’s most vital
resource – its people!
Each year the Awards seek out and promote the incredible achievements of individuals, businesses,
organisations and community groups and create a sense state pride, unity and inspiration through their
example as mentors and role models to the wider community.
The main objectives of the Awards are to:
Develop a sense of state pride in being a Tasmanian
Develop unity across all cultural backgrounds throughout Tasmania
Provide role models and mentors by acknowledging and highlighting achievements and contributions to the community
Encourage local community participation through highlighting positive stories and role models
Develop government, corporate and community involvement working together for the greater good
The public and media support of the Awards will provide many positive opportunities for category naming
right sponsors to be aligned with a wide range of community and individual activities. Our promotional
campaign enables us to reach nearly all of Tasmania.
Nominations are sought annually between May and August from Tasmanian residents across all ages from
all cultural and ethnic backgrounds.

OPERATIONS AND EVENTS
MEDIA LAUNCH
The Community Achievement Awards will be launched in May 2015. The launch will be a public call for
nominations and promote sponsors and gain local media support. The event will be a free community
networking function attended by local dignitaries, Members of Parliament, Mayors and community
members. The event will introduce Your Company’s partnership with the Awards. Your Company will have
an opportunity to speak and outline your involvement to the Awards.
CALL FOR NOMINATIONS
The Awards office will undertake an extensive three month promotional campaign, including
telemarketing, direct mail, news editorials, television commercials, radio and social media marketing to
encourage nominations. Your Company will receive extensive exposure throughout the marketing
campaign and will be encouraged to develop your own promotional leverage campaign.
The Community Achievement Awards will be advertised through a 30 second television commercial
acknowledging sponsors involvement, which will be aired by Southern Cross Television throughout the
campaign.
The Advocate and The Examiner Newspapers have committed to publish a regular nomination
advertisement along with editorials and digital media promotion.
HeartFM produces a Community Service Announcement and commits to extensive radio coverage to
promote the awards throughout the state.

JUDGING OF NOMINATIONS
A judging panel will meet to select the finalists and category winners for each Award. As category sponsor,
Your Company will be invited to provide a senior executive to form part of the Judging Panel, along with
representatives from sponsors and partners of the program, community leaders experienced in youth
issues along with one expert/head judge for each category. All nominations are reviewed through our
online system hosted on our website.
GALA AWARDS PRESENTATION
The Community Achievement Awards will promote the sponsorship contribution and commitment of Your
Company and recipients will be announced at a special Awards Gala Presentation to acknowledge the
finalists and announce the winners.
The winners will be announced at a Gala Awards Presentation Dinner. It will be a spectacular formal dinner
attended by approximately 300 people and VIP guests. Profiles are produced by Southern Cross Television
for each of the finalists and will be shown on screen at the Presentation Dinner. The Advocate and The
Examiner newspapers will promote the Awards with coverage about the finalists in the lead up to the
Awards Presentation Dinner and afterwards with winner’s editorials.
Category Award sponsors are invited to have a senior executive present their three finalists and announces
the winner of their category on the night.
A Your Company Senior Executive will be invited to make a short speech and make the presentation to the
three category finalists. They will then announce the winner of the Your Company Award and present
them with $1,000 and a magnificent trophy. Ten complimentary tickets to the event will be available to
Your Company as part of your sponsorship. Southern Cross Television will produce coverage for the
Awards via TV ads in the lead up and after the awards. Your Company will feature in this media coverage.

PRIZES
The winners of the Awards will be presented with a trophy and $1,000 or a television airtime package from
Southern Cross Television.
All nominees, semi-finalists, finalists and winners will receive a letter of congratulations and a certificate of
achievement for their nomination. In addition to the finalists, all nominees and semi-finalists to attend the
Awards Gala Presentation Dinner will be personally presented with their certificate on stage.
MARKETING & PUBLIC RELATIONS
Our extensive marketing and public relations campaign assists us to generate interest within the Awards
whilst promoting our patrons and sponsors as good corporate community citizens. The public and
community support of the Awards will provide many positive opportunities for sponsors to be aligned with
a wide range of community and individual activities. Our promotional campaign enables us to reach nearly
all of Tasmania.
The Community Achievement Awards will be supported by an extensive marketing and public relations
campaign consisting of exposure covering all mass media:

TELEVISION
Our Television partner Southern Cross Television is committed to a ‘call for nominations’ campaign of 30
second ads to seek nominations across Tasmania. The ads will feature Your Company and commence
immediately after the launch and run for approximately three months until the close of nominations.
A profile of each of the finalists will be produced for the Awards Gala Presentation Dinner and shown on
the screens. Your Company will feature in the profiles for your finalists which you have category naming
rights. Your Company will also feature in the 30 second ‘congratulations to winners’ ad aired by our
Television partner Southern Cross Television for approximately four weeks after the Awards Presentation
Dinner.
PRESS
The Advocate and The Examiner Newspapers have committed significant support for the Awards through
their weekly paper and digital media. As part of this commitment The Advocate and The Examiner
Newspapers will run regular call for nominations advertisements and coupons which will feature Your
Company were possible. Additionally regular editorials featuring nominees and other interesting stories
associated with the Awards program will be run during this stage.
All newspapers across Tasmania will also receive the opportunity to promote the Awards through regular
media releases and ads highlighting local involvement.
As a sponsor Your Company will feature in the ads and editorials where possible and will receive extensive
press exposure throughout the marketing campaign.

RADIO
A community service announcement will be produced and distributed by HeartFM to all radio stations
throughout Tasmania, allowing a three second tag acknowledging their local involvement, including our
media partner HeartFM.
A mail-out to all radio stations is undertaken before the Launch of the Awards, resulting in the Awards
receiving essential support from numerous radio stations and networks. Further to the radio CSA’s,
numerous interviews are also sought and conducted promoting the various stages of the Awards. These
interviews include mention of the presenters, category and prize sponsors as well as nominees to excite
interest in the Program.
PRINTED LITERATURE AND DIRECT MAIL
The Community Achievement Awards will be heavily promoted through direct mail and E marketing to
businesses, organisations and associations throughout Tasmania. As category sponsor, Your Company’s
logo will be featured on all printed and advertising literature.
Significant exposure will be across community and youth organisations/networks, State and Local
Government Associations and commercial organisations will be encouraged to become involved in the
Awards Program. This section of the community will be involved in the Program through receiving
invitations to the launches, calls for nominations and attending the Gala Awards Presentation. Sponsors
are asked to display posters and make available nomination brochures in branches and offices throughout
Tasmania. A comprehensive list of the printed literature can be found on the sponsorship benefits page
and items will be supplied to you for prior approval before production.

WEBSITE
The Awards website will feature Your Company as a category naming rights sponsor of the Awards. The
website offers a fully interactive service, providing comprehensive up to date information about the
Awards. The Community Achievement Awards website will have links to Your Company and other
sponsors’ website.
The website explains all aspects of the Awards program, including the eligibility criteria with instructions on
how to nominate, key dates and the process of nominations. The nomination application is a simple online
process.

SOCIAL MEDIA
We regularly promote and are heavily involved in the use of social media for the Community Achievement
Awards, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube.
Bringing awareness to the Awards is implemented by regular updates through the various phases of the
awards, sharing and promoting our sponsors’ posts and pages or websites, endorsing and encouraging all
our nominees and those involved in the Awards. Through these Social Media avenues we aim to spread the
awareness of the awards, receive more nominations and increase promotion of all our supporting
sponsors. A People’s Choice Award is also conducted on Facebook.

SPONSORSHIP PROPOSAL
PROPOSAL
It is with great pleasure that we invite Your Company to become a category naming rights sponsor of the
2015 Community Achievement Awards. By becoming a category naming rights sponsor within the Awards
you will receive prominent positioning and exposure.
Category Naming Rights Sponsorship Fee: $9,950 plus GST
No further costs are involved in the program.
A 3 year sponsorship option agreement is available and would attract a 5% discount off the annual
sponsorship amounts (fixed price for three years).
Your category will be promoted and recognised at all times as:
Your Company – category selected Award
Your sponsorship contribution will go towards promoting your category and facilitating a high quality
Awards program directly targeting high achievers, businesses, organisations and community contributors
throughout Tasmania to increase state pride.
As a category naming rights sponsor your organisation has the opportunity to tailor the Award to suit your
marketing initiatives, aims and objectives. Award opportunities are also available in other states.
Your Company may wish to consider alternate options for sponsorship if you budget will not allow for full
category naming rights sponsorship:
Silver Support Sponsor Fee: $3,500 plus GST
Bronze Support Sponsorship Fee: $750 plus GST

SPONSORSHIP BENEFITS
Your company will receive the following benefits in return for your category naming rights sponsorship
within the Regional Achievement and Community Awards:
1. At the conclusion of the 2015 program, Your Company will be given first rights to continue the
sponsorship agreement in 2016
2. The Awards will promote your partnership and involvement in the Awards through Social Media
3. Your Company will feature as a category naming rights sponsor on the Awards website with links back
to Your Company website
4. The Awards Manager will work with your representatives to maximise exposure for Your Company
throughout Tasmania
5. Your Company will be mentioned in media releases, press ads/coupons, radio campaigns and media
interviews where possible
6. CSA’s featuring Your Company will be produced and distributed to Heart1073 and other supporting
radio stations
7. Your Company will be invited to supply a pull up banner to be positioned at each event
8. Significant television promotional ads will be screened on Southern Cross Television from the Launch
in May until the close of nominations in August 2015. Your Company will feature in all ads
9. Your Company will receive quality exposure in the calling for nominations advertisements and
editorials featured regularly in The Advocate and The Examiner and in other supporting newspapers,
magazines and newsletters from the commencement of the program in May 2015 to October 2015
10. Your Company will feature in the launch of the Awards
11. Your Company will be featured in 6,000 e-flyers distributed to leading businesses, community
organisations, service clubs, media outlets, schools, universities, libraries, councils, Members of
Parliament
12. Your Company will feature on the Awards Letterhead which is used for all correspondence
13. Your Company will be featured in 4,000 nomination information brochures and 1,500 A3 Poster which
are distributed to other businesses, community organisations, service clubs, media outlets, schools,
universities, libraries, councils, Members of Parliament, and sponsor outlets throughout Tasmania
14. 800 invitations and acceptance cards featuring Your Company logo will be printed and distributed to
leading business houses, media and category-related organisations promoting the launches and the
Awards Gala Presentation Dinner. They will also be emailed to all contacts of the Awards

15. 500 place cards and printed Programs for the Presentation Dinner are produced, again featuring Your
Company and involvement, along with Table Numbers promoting category and presenting sponsors
16. 300 certificates featuring Your Company logo will be printed and presented, personally where
possible, to all nominees of the Program and including finalists and winners
17. A senior executive from Your Company will be invited to make a speech and present your three
category finalists and announce your winner at the Awards Gala Presentation Dinner, who will receive
a trophy with your logo printed on it
18. Ten Complimentary tickets will be available for Your Company representatives to attend the Awards
Gala Presentation Dinner
19. A quality silk banner featuring Your Company logo will be produced and strategically displayed at the
Awards Gala Presentation Dinner
20. Your Company will feature in the 30 second congratulations ad produced by Southern Cross Television
to promote the winners of each Award to run for four weeks after the Awards Presentation
21. Your Company will receive an End-of-Program Report summarising all promotional and media activity
for each stage of the Program (including copies of media clippings and a DVD copy of the ads featured
on Southern Cross Television)
