IBT Upgrade to IE10We are pleased to announce some exciting enhancements we’re making to our internet-based testing platform that will improve your candidates’ testing experience while providing stronger security protocols. Why are these upgrades necessary and what do they entail?

Over the last year, we made a business decision to invest in these upgrades so that we can provide a more secure environment for processing, storing and transmitting credit card information. And while strengthening security protocols to be fully compliant with stricter Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS), we’re also investing in an intuitive user interface that will offer a better navigation and testing experience.

How will this upgrade impact your program? And what should you be doing now? We do not anticipate any impact on your program except that it will perform better and offer greater security

and protect your exam content and candidate data more securely. You should be checking, though, which internet browsers your organization currently uses to ensure you have versions that will be supported in the more secure environment and that web pages load properly. For your convenience, we’ve listed the supported browser versions below:

Internet Explorer (IE) v10 Updating Internet Explorer: Microsoft updates Internet Explorer using its Windows update feature. As long as

you are regularly installing the latest Windows updates from Microsoft, they should have the latest version of Internet Explorer.

Will your candidates be impacted? No, your candidates will not be impacted negatively. The only change they will notice is

an easier-to-navigate system. They will keep their same user login and account information. Will the new enhancements require exams to be republished?

No, exams will not need to be republished.

These upgrades represent Prometric’s ongoing commitment to provide improved, stable and secure services. This is only the first of several messages I’ll be sending you as we move forward.
