The Lord’s Prayer"Our Father Who Is In Heaven"

Matthew 6:9 "This, then, is how you should pray..."

"Our"Ephesians 1:5 Having predestinated us into adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will.

"Father"Galatians 4:6 Because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, "Abba, Father."

IMPLICATIONS OF GOD AS FATHER

1. Tender relationship of father and child.

2. He wants to hear from us! 3.  Confidence in God's love for us. 4. This is designed to raise our affections.

1 John 3:1 How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God. And that is what we are!

5. As "Father" our obligation is to delight in Him.
