TODAY’S GAME: Lynchburg College hosts Randolph College in the first

round of the ODAC Tournament. LC earned the #3 seed for the Tourna-

ment while Randolph comes into the game as the 6th seed.

PREVIOUS MEETING: The Lynchburg College men’s soccer team

breezed to a 3-0 win against cross town rival Randolph College in Old

Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) action on September 19.

A Randolph foul in the box led to Josh Reed being awarded a pen-

alty kick which he converted to give Lynchburg a 1-0 lead. Ryan Renfro

notched his first goal on the contest in the 39th minute as he fired a shot

into the back of the net off a Pat Brown pass to provide the insurance

goal. Renfro then added his second goal of the night in the 44th minute

to provide the final margin.

The Hornets outshot the Wildcats 17-9 and held a 4-1 edge in corner

kicks. The fouls were even as each team recorded 14 violations and each

team had three saves.

HORNETS’ NEXT GAME: The winner of today’s contest will play the

winner of #2 Hampden-Sydney and #7 Washington & Lee. Lynchburg

defeated both teams in 2OT in the regular season.
