INT0 SALVATION

(1Co 15:1-4) Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached

unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also

received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that

he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

(2Co 11:2-4) For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.

But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be

corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we

have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which

ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

(Gal 1:6-9) I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be

some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven,

preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let

him be accursed.

I. The PURPOSE of this study

(Eph 4:11-15) And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of

the stature of the fulness of Christ: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

(Tit 1:9-11) Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound

doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers. For there are many unruly and vain

talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision: Whose mouths must be stopped,

who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake.

(2Ti 1:15) This thou knowest, that all they which are in Asia be turned away from me; of whom are Phygellus and

Hermogenes.

(2Ti 4:10) For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens

to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia.

(2Ti 4:14) Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works:

(1Ti 1:19-20) Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made

shipwreck: Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to

blaspheme.

What must I do to be saved?

III. The PROTESTING of Calvinism

For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we

have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which

some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven,

said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have

c. The REVEALING of the tulip

1. TOTAL DEPRAVITY

• Man is totally corrupt. Man's thoughts, actions, and ambitions are all bad.

• Man does not have the ability to do what God commands him to do (repent).

• “All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Rom. 3:23)

• “The wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Rom. 6:23). Man is DEAD. Dead things can’t do anything !!

2. UNCONDITIONAL ELECTION (Predestination)

• If you believed the "T" of TULIP, LOGIC determines that you must accept the “U”:– If man is unable to repent and believe the Gospel,

then it follows that God must choose some for Heaven (and send the rest to Hell).

• Calvinism teaches that everything that happens was planned by God and nothing can be done to change it.

3. LIMITED ATONEMENT • Meaning: Christ only died for certain people.

– Those He died for will go to Heaven. – The rest will go to Hell.

• Doctrine of Limited Atonement is a logical consequence of the Total Depravity:– Man cannot repent and believe to be saved, so:– God has predestined who will be saved and who will

be lost, – therefore it is only logical that Christ died only for

those God has planned to save.

4. IRRESISTIBLE GRACE

• The elected is saved and taken them Heaven regardless of they like it or not.

• Ephesians 2:8: “by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God”

• The sinner is neither capable nor willing to receive salvation... The saving grace of God, changing the heart of the sinners, precedes the sinner’s will to come to Christ.

5. PERSEVERANCE OF THE SAINTS

• Once a person is saved, he will persevere to the end.

• A child of God once saved, cannot be lost. • “When you are saved, you are born again. You

cannot become unborn”• Conclusion of Calvinism:

“Once Saved Always Saved”

(Gal 1:6-9) I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be

some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven,

preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let

him be accursed.
