In a startup, you are the admin person. That includes buying a printer. And the paper.

#9: Because you can’t forward irate customers to the support department.

You are the support department. And the marketing department. And everything else, too.

#8: Because you are the type of person who wants to learn to swim before going to the water.

Most of what you are doing in a startup is on unchartered territory. You swim, or you go under.

#7: Because you have three weeks of vacation as employee.

The word entrepreneur is close to Sanskrit anthaprerna, which means self motivation. In no language entrepreneur is related to vacation.

#6: Because you can’t blame somebody else.

But everybody will blame you. :)

#5: Because you can take only so many roller coaster rides without wanting to puke.

Maybe you want to get off, but they pull you back in.

#4: Because you won‘t have a lot of time for golf.

Unless you have the world’s best wife, like I do.

If the light is bright, it was all worth it.
