NYC Bury the hatchet

• Heather: I wish I had a full glass of wine for this. Seriously!

• Kristen: You don’t need a full glass.

• Heather: I’m a little scared.

• Kristen: Come on!

• Heather: You were so meanie meanie girl last night.

• Kristen: I- Heather, I didn’t mean to be meanie meanie girl, and I don’t even- listen, I had a really really rough day-

• Heather: That’s why I tried to get wasted with you.

• Kristen: I mean, like, everybody’s entitled to their really rough day. And I mean it wasn’t like the worst thing in the world.

• Heather: When you start to go after my husband and talk about my marriage and my relationship with my husband…

• Kristen: You’re misunderstanding it.

• Heather: …you’ve taken it too far.

• Kristen: I had a really hard day yesterday-

• Heather: I got that.

• Kristen: I was really, really upset.

• Heather: I got that.

• Kristen: I wanted to geocache…

• Heather: I got that.

• Kristen: …and I was actually enjoying it, and you were off doing your own thing, which is fine, but-

• Heather: It’s not fine.

• Kristen: For, for once just go, Kristen had a really hard day, and you know what? I’m going to go get her in the woods and I’m going to go, “You know, Kristen, this isn’t working,” and instead of being ‘la la this sucks…’

• Heather: Your tone, Kristen, sucks. You were aggressive. You were out of line. And you need to apologize, but yet you can’t do that. You’re still being aggressive toward me.

• Kristen: Heather, let’s just sit back…

• Heather: You need to chill out.

[Kristen is super dramatic right now. I mean, there’s all this tension between us, and I’m not sure how it got there.]

• Heather: What is the problem, honestly?

• Kristen: The problem is…

• Heather: Yes?

• Kristen: …is that there’s nothing wrong with me voicing my opinion in our friendship. I can’t imagine that just because I said that you were a little bit controlling that we’re not going to be…

• Heather: Ha, Kristen, you got in my face last night and started to say that I control my husband and I control my friendships and I control everything.

• Kristen: There’s nothing wrong with your marriage. I’m saying-

• Heather: I don’t need you to tell me that.

• Kristen: You have-

• Heather: Thank you.

• Kristen: I know that you don’t!

• Heather: I wish I could control John! What do you think John would feel like if he knew that at a table full of women, you said that I control him?

• Kristen: I’m saying…

• Heather: How do you think that would make him feel?

• Kristen: I think he’d probably agree.

• Heather: Are you kidding me?

• Kristen: Heather, I am sorry that I had really bad delivery, really bad- I- I didn’t mean it to make you feel the way that you do, but I’m closest to you out of everybody, and you were there. And I freaked out on you, Heather, and I feel like, as a friend, that’s what happens. You know? It’s like, you know what?

• Heather: All you have to say is I’m sorry. It’s two very simple words.

• Kristen: I just did!

[At the end of the day, I know Heather’s my friend. I said what I needed to say, and I’m hoping she heard me, and I’m ready just to put this all behind us.]

• Heather: Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. I accept your apology. I accept your apology.
