consolidate information

– Securely stores complete electronic health care records

– Provides personal health care information when and where needed

AccessMyHealth.org –Our Elevator Speech

• AccessMyHealth.org is a partnership of Washingtonians – patients, doctors, and others – that will be exploring ways to improve patients’ access to their personal health information.

• AccessMyHealth.org is supporting the concept of secure online personalized health records to help you gather and store your health information to share with your doctors, family members, and others.

• Key policy objectives for pilots:– Operational by 1/09– Pilot methods to drive adoption/usage of

HRBs– Use of information to “activate”

consumers– Consumer access to and management of

clinical health information– Heath information sharing between HRB

and industry information sources

• State policy questions pertaining to HRBs: – Impact on health disparities, special

populations, public health– Optimal role of government– Financial sustainability
