Big Risks

Americans once committed to South Korea were taking a big risk Going into war with North Korea because there was a possibility that China could intervene and take Communism into Europe. Considering China has a bigger army and more man power they could easily influence other countries to be communist.

The “Invasion”

The North Korean Invasion went smoothly until the Chinese sent out a line of defense to stop the nearing American army.

Dec. 1950 Americans fought an unwinnable fight against North Korea with the assistance of China.

The Battles for the capital Seoul went Back and fourth from 1950-53

Aftermath

The American military showed no sympathy when attacking North Korea. The American Ari Force dropped more bomb on North Korea then they did in the whole WW2 campaign.

On August 12th 1950 Americans

dropped 625 tons of bombs on North Korea, two weeks later America bumped it up to 800 tons.
