Americana, Folk, Progressive Rock Entwood Bio Entwood started as two friends playing coffee shop and pizza parlor gigs and blossomed into a popular regional act in Northern Utah. The band has shared the stage with local favorites such as Ol Fashion Depot and Mama Longlegs as well as regional acts such as Jerry Joseph. Entwood has performed at annual events such as Stokes Nature Center Canyon Jams and has been regularly invited to perform at the Lighthouse Lounge and Funk n' Dive in Ogden, and The Hog Wallow Pub in Salt Lake City. At it's core is Danny Wildmon on lead vocals, electric guitar and mandolin. Danny's background in bluegrass and Americana forms the basis of his well though out, socioeconomic, politically satirical and environmentally charged original compositions.Kelin Gibbons plays lead guitar and provides assistance with chord progressions and form of original tunes in the band. Kelin's background in Jazz, Latin, bluegrass and world music styles provides an eclectic angle to soulful jam style. He has been compared to greats such as Jimmy Herring (Widespread Panic) and Jerry Garcia. Kory Gibbons has occupied the drum throne for a variety of local acts playing a wide range of styles including bluegrass, rock, jazz, metal, folk and world music. His unique beats keep the audience dancing while still serving the form of the song. Karl Gibbons is Entwood's secret weapon on bass. He is equally adept at performing orchestral movements as he is well versed in jazz improvisation. If you miss Karl's smile you missed the entire show. Whenever they perform, Entwood creates a joyous, thoughtful and dance-able musical experience for the listener. Regardless of the musical genre that strikes them at each particular moment the band is entertaining and fun. Don't miss the next show!
