What and Why? Cumulative assessment for your teacher education degree that
shows your mastery of the new teacher standards. Synergizes educational theory and practice. It is a graduation requirement that substitutes for a thesis
and/or comprehensive exam. Can be found in GoEd… goed.american.edu
“My Portfolio” Please make sure you create a new one and title it
appropriately.
Professional Teaching Portfolio The SANDWICH
20 entries + Introduction, Resume, Philosophy of Education and Conclusion
All receive scores of 1, 2, 3 Passing is 2 or 3, will discuss later
Many also have a “SPA Form”
Professional Teaching Portfolio The BREAD
Introduction, Resume and Conclusion Introduction, Resume and Conclusion receive one score
Philosophy of Education If you have written a POE for a class, please make sure
it is updated. Research POE’s and we will also discuss in student

Twenty Unique Portfolio Entries 2 entries per INTASC Standard
An entry consists of an description, artifact and reflection… preferably in that order
