CookingWhat’s
Cooking ClubResidents enjoyed making BananaPudding Parfaits! Residents were
divided into a banana slicing group,pudding mixing group and then a group
that prepped all the cups with vanillawafers. Everyone worked together andcreated a delicious snack. Join us forour next Cooking Club on May 9th
at 3:30.

shown to reduce a person’s risk ofdeveloping cancer and heart
disease.- Eating dark chocolate in
moderation can lower a person’scholesterol levels.
- The first United States chocolatefactory was built in 1765.
- The average American eats 12pounds of chocolate every year.
- One tablespoon of cocoa powdercontains 10 percent of the daily
requirement for iron intake.Chocolate can offer some healthbenefits, but it should be eaten in
moderation because of the caloriesassociated with the fat and sugar
content.

Meal Alternate RequestsPlease remember, meal substitution request forms for dinner and supper must
be completed and turned in by10 a.m. on the day the substitute meal

Dry CleaningTo use the dry- cleaning service, bring your items to the front office. Barb visits
on Wednesdays for pickup and drop-off.
Stay StrongThe last Wednesday in May is National Senior Health and Fitness Day.
