A Resident Love Story“Trudy M: The love of her life was her little brother, Clifton. Trudy always
looked after her little brother, especially when he got into trouble. Trudy had tocover for him, lie for him and drag him back to school when he tried to run away.Trudy and Clifton went to a country school and the bathroom was outside.Clifton wrote his name on the board and went to use the bathroom. Trudy sawhim outside trying to run away. Clifton would try running away from schoolalmost every day. Trudy and Clifton loved ice cream. Clifton would put his nickelin his hand and close it up like a fist. When he got an ice cream, he wouldn’tundo his fist and so Trudy would have to pry it open to pay for the ice cream.Trudy loved her little brother because he always paid attention to her. Trudy wasable to deal with her brother more easily than others. He made her feelimportant. Later in life, they didn’t live close to each other, but were always aphone call away. Clifton passed away at 89 years old.” -Nick P, Life Enrichment
