We had a greattime with the HolyFamily Youth Group;they came to playcards, games andjust have some fun.We made s’mores,which was a funtreat, along withpopcorn, snacks andcold drinks. Ouractivity room waspacked, but what afun evening!

brought up that we are having issues inour laundry room.

Please make sure you keep an eyeon the time when putting items in thedryer. Clothes are being put in the dryerand left; this ties it up so that it cannotbe used until you pick them up. Mostitems can be dried in a half hour, soplease keep track of time or wait in thelaundry room or 2nd floor lobby.

Also, we have clothes being left inthe laundry room. If they are there for aweek, they will be put down in thecupboard; so if you think you lost them,please check there first.

Valentine’s CelebrationDance

We will be having our annualValentine’s Dance on Tuesday,

Feb. 14. The evening meal will beserved at 5 p.m. for all residents;

this will be open seating. At6:30 p.m., Arlyn Willett will be here

to entertain us for the dance. Pleaseinvite your family and friends to joinyou at 6:30 p.m. for music, treats

and champagne. If you have familycoming for the dance, please

Girl Scout Troop

Our local Girl Scout Troop will behere on Saturday, February 11th, at2:30 to visit and hand out Valentine’scards in the lobby. If you would liketo get some cards to pass out tothem, I’m sure they would enjoy that.We will have some cookies to sharewith them.

HomeschoolStudents

We had a group ofhomeschool studentscome in and singcarols for us—this isthe second year.There were quite afew students thatplayed piano, fromage 4 to 13. What afantastic afternoon.

Mall Walkingand ShoppingWe go to the

Courtland Mall andwalk twice a week for45 minutes, Tuesdayat 10:45 and Fridayat 10am. If you wouldlike to shop atJCPenney or any ofthe stores at the mall,you are more thanwelcome to ridealong and goshopping. I am notputting JCPenney onthe shopping listanymore, so sign upon the walking sheetif you want to shop.

New Year’s Party

We celebrated our New Year in theafternoon with entertainment, snacksand a champagne toast to ring in thenew year.

Our residents had their dancingshoes on ready to step into 2017and our entertainer, Vern, sureknows how to get them going! Wehad quite a few laughs along withour residents who sang along.

Shrine CircusOur evening at the circus was a

blast! We laughed and had such agreat time and even the ride homewas fun. It lasted longer than wethought so we were quite late gettinghome, but what an exciting evening!
