ON THE COVER
Hello, there - and welcome to How-
dy Doody time. You recall that in a
previous episode rev. Ronnie had at-
tempted (by invoking world peace
and brotherhood ) to arrange aspec-
tacular outdoor Western style barbe-
cue. Hehadsought to nuke millions
of pounds of atheistic commie briskets
(several times over) a la first and
second strike. He subsequently be-
came aware that his less than enthusi-
astic battery of chefs (the Congress)
were fearful that such an enormous
pit fire would ignite the entire neigh-
borhood and probably pollute the
whole countryside.
Not to be discouraged, however, his
masterful thespian-minded back-
ground enabled him to quickly shift to
yet another ingenious plan. Ifwe could-
n't have braised commie shortrlbs, he
decided he would bedazzle everyone
with a colossal display of outer-space
fireworks in the form of laser-rays,
particle beams, etc. Surely this idea
would so impress the masses that
they would scarcely notice the 2 tril-
lion+ dollar invoice for the fire-
works. GoodoldJoe Taxpayer would-
n't mind shelling out for such a mar-
velous planl The trouble now was that
Joe had been unemployed for the past
18 months and couldn't even afford
half a dozen bottle rocketsl
At this writing our super-genious
leader has shifted once again. Not to
be denied his christian crusade
against evil, hehasdecided the only
thing conceivable at this time would
be to totally stupefy the satanic
forces with a bloodless electromag-
netic super bomb. Not only would
this knock out attack and' defense
communications - it would also dis-
able the electronic quality control
equipment in their vodka distilleriesl
It doesn't seem likely that this plan
will fare much better, so I thought I
would offer yet another suggestion to
the reverend: Have the U.S. military
design a two-hundred-yard long ar-
row which can be shot parallel to the
ground. Next time the soviets hold a
military parade outside the Kremlin
wecan launch these devicesand skew-
erentire battalions of evil red troops
in a gigantic shishkebabl
