LUES
Authentic Civic Engagement: Civic education is mandatory at Democracy Prep. We believe all schools should be preparing student should be preparing citizens in our democracy
All student in all subjects: DPPS actively recruits students at risk of academic failure — including those with ELL classifications, IEPs, and 504 plans — and consistently enrolls students in high-need subgroups in numbers greater than or equal to those of zoned public schools located in the surrounding districts.
Public Funds: We believe our core programs should be sustainable using public funds to demonstrate what is possible in public education. Democracy Prep Public Schools is 100% funded by per pupil spending, rejecting the need to raise funds and instead focusing on what is important: educating scholars.
