An Amendment is changes of the word to the constitution.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of

religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; orabridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the

right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petitionthe Government for a redress of grievances.

Because of this amendment I can speak my mind.

1st Amendment

2nd AmendmentA well regulated Militia, being necessary to thesecurity of a free State, the right of the peopleto keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

I can carry a gun because they are protectiveif someone come on my property.

Because of this amendment I am no longer a slave.

houses,papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches andseizures,shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but

upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, andparticularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons

or things to be seized.

This amendment give me the right to vote.

AmendmentThe right of citizens of the UnitedStates to vote shall not be denied

or abridged by the United States orby any State on account of race,color, or previous condition of

servitude.

I have the right to vote and it cant be denied, and if

people want to vote I think they should be able to do so.

8th AmendmentExcessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive

fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual

punishments inflicted.

If I had to go to court I know that the judge will give me a fair penalty.

Also, if I went to jail I know that my bail couldnt be a million dollars.In

our country we cant get torture by the government for a crime.

The enumeration in the Constitution

of certain rights shall not be

construed to deny or disparageothers retained by the people.

This amendment states that my

rights cant be denied.

AmendmentThe powers not delegated to the United States by

the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the

States, are reserved to the States respectively,or

to the people.The government cant make laws that the state has to follow if its not

already in the constitution. For example, each state gets to decide

who can get married instead of the U.S. Government.

It affects me because I have a gay cousin and I would want her to get

married if she wants to.

3rd Amendment

No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quarteredin any house, without the consent of the

Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to

be prescribed by law.

I think this amendment should be removed because we dont need

soldiers to protect us any more in our houses like the old days.
