I was born July 24 1897 in Atchison, Kansas. My family did not have a lot of money. When I was 10 my family and me moved to Moines, Towa.

I could make my own clothes. I could write books. I could fly planes very well.

Accomplishments (Why I’m Famous)

I was the first women and person to fly across the Atlantic and Pacific ocean. I made records (Altitude, Speed) I was the first women to fly the world.

Contributions To Society, Culture And History

I was one of the first women to not be a stay at home mom in the late 1920’s. Instead I flew planes and drove across the country in a car.
