Welcome to the December edition of Amber Valley Voice and Santa will be here any day now! The nights have officially drawn in with the shortest day looming and all Christmas lights and decorations are on and up and the shopping has commenced complete with wrapping! All that is left now are the

preparations for the dinner….well, in some houses...not mine I hasten to add!!

December is also Panto season , so lots of goods ones this year to check out on pages 16 &18 and also, still lots more Christmassy things to do on page 6, es-pecially for the little ones.

AncientEgypt:OnTheNile The mighty river Nile made ancient Egypt. The Egyptians used the river

for everything and in this course our tutor, Trish Chapman will explore

life along this great highway, from ancient to more modern times.

There will be 10 meetings commencing on Thursday 12th January,

7.30 -9.00pm at the Adult Education Centre, Church Street, Alfreton.

No meeting on 16th January.

Pre - enrolment for this course is essential by 5th January 2012. Course fees £50.25
