The Ambassadors of the Flame of Mercy is a non-profit, tax-

exempt Christian organization. The cost of this retreat

includes a bunk bed (dorm), meals, snacks, and retreat

materials. Deposit is refundable up to seven days prior to the

retreat.

Please bring your own towels, sheets and pillowcase.

We’ll supply your pillow and blankets.

Also please bring your Bible, comfortable clothes, and

toiletries. Check-in for 2012 retreats starts at 5:30 p.m. on

the day the retreat begins. Unless otherwise stated, 2013

retreats start at 7:00 p.m. on Friday and end Sunday at 1

p.m.

Flying to Lubbock: please plan your arrival prior to 6

p.m. on Friday, and plan your departure after 3 p.m. on

love sent for you. You are here because there is so much of God that you need to share, you need to bring to my children’s lives, so they, too, can have hope and joy in their trials and tribulations. Be there for one another, as there is a need. Be an instrument of love, the hands and feet of Christ, to bring one

another comfort, consolation and joy. Joy, joy, joy, my children, is a sign that the Holy Spirit is in your lives. Joy brings to light things that are in darkness. Inner joy is always there, even when the storms come to quench that joy. But joy will overtake the grief, the emptiness you may feel when things get hard. See to it, my beloved, that you place your eyes on the one true love and that you do everything for him. There are so many things that are in my heart to tell you—pick up the sword, pick up my messages and pray them. Let them melt into your heart. Let them change your heart as they become part of you. Peace, peace, peace of Jesus be with you and thank you for being here today to spend my special day with me. Now it can become your day also. For the Ambassadors: My children, you are on the right path to unity. Stay on that path; do not veer to the right or the left. It is imperative that you come together as a community to pray. From the Lord:

Amen, I say to you, seek daily my will for your daily

tasks, so that your toil may never be in vain, but for the

glory of God.

Queen of Mercy:

There is a daily battle for your soul, a daily battle to

throw you off the will of God, to discourage you, to

make you feel that God does not love you. If you

believe this, Satan can destroy you with hopelessness.

To hope is to know that God loves you and that he has

your best interest in his heart.

Waiting for my turn in the line for

confession, many thoughts went through

my mind. The focus at this reconciliation

service was “Revive Us, Lord.” The

message was one of joy in coming back to

God. Wow! This is exactly what our

Blessed Mother had come to say on

February 28. “Joy, joy, joy, my children, is a sign that the Holy Spirit is in your lives.”

In her message she encourages us to do everything for

Christ. And so, the Lord brought me this same message

through the priest who heard my personal confession. This

was a penance service like I had never before experienced.

Like most of the Lenten reconciliation services I have

attended in the past, the prayers brought me to awareness of

the many ways I have set myself apart from God by

choosing my own way. Yet this service was calling me back

to his love and joy, uniting to him, reconciling with him and

coming back into relationship with him in being his hands

and feet to bring his love, peace, patience, and other gifts to

my brothers and sisters in Christ and to myself. New level:

Focusing on the solution, not the problem.

So instead of feeding my human nature and indulging in

greed, jealousy, laziness, selfishness, lust, pride or anger, I

can cooperate with God’s grace and nourish the virtues God

gives; love, justice, faithfulness, hope, prudence, fortitude

and temperance. I realized it was important to be aware of

what appetites I feed (and how I feed them); the flesh or the

spirit, because what I feed grows, and whatever grows in

me (good or bad), impacts others. I also realized that, like

the fingers of your hand, virtues grow together, and so do

sins. If I feed and practice patience, I’m also feeding and

practicing love (in order to be patient, I have to love). If I

feed greed, I’m also feeding lust. When we work on one

aspect of the spirit or the flesh, other parts grow, too. Can

you see how important each decision is between our way or

God’s way? My confessor shared a great gift, a key if you

will, to train my mind and spirit to follow God .

He asked if I could remember these simple, but profound

words: “Do this in remembrance of me.” Every day we

attend mass we are sent with this mission. Take the grace

given in the Eucharist and center our daily lives and actions

so these actions are done in remembrance of the sacrifice

of Christ. He died to free us from pride, envy, lust, greed,

sloth, anger, and gluttony, so if we are truly his hands and feet, we walk away from the sins that separate us from

him and our brothers and sisters, and confidently ask, “Lord,

how can I be your hands and feet? How can I do this in

remembrance of you? How can I love instead of judge? How

can I forgive and not bear a grudge? How can I be faithful

instead of fearful? How can my work, my relationships, and

my free time give you glory? How do I find joy in my

situation?” Just asking the question can begin the process of

turning our thoughts to God, instead of ourselves. Once our

mind begins to change, our actions can follow. This beautiful

mystery was echoed in our Blessed Mother’s message, which

tells us to be “an instrument of love, the hands and feet of

Christ …”

Concluding the penitent time of Lent with the hope of revival

in the life and resurrection of Jesus and the joy our Blessed

Mother speaks of, we can adopt a new vision and purpose: “Do

this in remembrance of me.”

May you begin to do every task, every action in remembrance

of him. Be reunited with Christ and the family of God this

Easter, this resurrection day! May joy overtake your grief and

emptiness in the hard times, and may you find strength to stay

on the path to reconciliation and unity with God and the family

of Christ.

In the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Retreat in

April 26-28, 2013

The building of Enrique’s Café continues with

pouring the foundation for the kitchen wall

beams (see pictures). While the raising of the

building is taking time, many of aspects of the

restaurant continue to move along, including

working on the final interior floor plans,

purchasing kitchen equipment, and the

development of the food and drink menus. We

would like to thank Jesse and Anna Aguirre of

Colorado who donated several restaurant booths to the café. If you

August we’ll dive into the deep waters and explore how to be in

unity with God and one another. You won’t want to miss it!

Here again is the prayer for unity, which is loaded with grace to

bring you and your family back to the powerful blessing of unity.

Our dear Mother asks us to pray it daily:

PRAYER FOR FAMILY UNITY Father in heaven, you know the hearts of your children, how

they are so far away from you. I pray for a desire to come close

to you. I pray that I may unite with all of those that are praying

for salvation of souls, and I pray for the salvation of families.

My dear Mother, I call on your motherly love and mercy to

shower upon us so that we may love and be patient and wait on

you as you bring my brothers and sisters closer to you. I pray

that you remove the cobwebs from eyes and hearts that we may

all seek God as one family.

Holy Family, pray for us. Holy Family, strengthen us in faith.

Holy Family, shower us with your love that we may be as you.

Teach us how to love. Teach us how to persevere. Teach us

how to show mercy in action.

In the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord, name above all names,

name most favored by God, name of abundant blessing, powerful

name of Jesus write this name upon our hearts and souls that we

may truly know we are yours.
