Whether it be as mentors in schools, ramp builders for the disabled, or assemblers of winter kits for the homeless, you continue to amaze with your many acts of kindness each day. You are all shin-ing examples of “Citizens Wherever We Serve” and for that, we say THANK YOU!
Keep up the great work you are doing across the state. Without you, your communities and agencies could not thrive and do what they do for those in need.

Savannah The Savannah chapter was recently visited by William Mock, Plant Manager at Plant McIntosh, and Truitt Eavenson, Southeast Region Vice President, at their chapter meetings. Both presented great programs with company updates and answered many questions from the attendees.
StatesboroThe Statesboro chapter held their annual school supply drive for the Bulloch County Boys and Girls Club. In addi-tion to all the supplies provided by the members, the chap-ter also made a donation to the agency to aid with other needs for their after-school program. Thanks Statesboro!
Metro SouthMembers of Metro South Ambassadors partnered with the Metro South Citizens chapter for the annual Relay for Life event at Pinewood Studios. Thanks to both chapters for helping aid in the fight against cancer. Together, we will find a cure.

Metro Central – BirthdayThe Metro Central chapter was visited by a team from Plant
Vogtle at their latest chapter meeting. The team presented an update on the construction pro-cess and on all the devel-opments at the site. They also helped Ms. Mildred Fitzgerald, a charter member for the chapter, celebrate her 102nd birthday with a special gift, cake and of course serenaded her with the Happy Birthday song.
Metro EastFall is just around the corner which means it is FOOTBALL SEASON! The Metro East chapter helped kick the season off with a game day at their recent meeting. There was something for everyone including, RummiKub, Bean Bag Toss, and Five Crowns. They ended the event with a traditional cook-out lunch complete with hamburgers and hot dogs. A great time was had by all!

Metro Central – Blood DriveMetro Central Ambassadors provided volunteers for the recent Blood Drive held at Corporate Headquarters. The goal was 115 pints and each donor received a pint of ice cream during the “Pint for a Pint” promotion. Melva Brown is the Red Cross chair for the Metro Central chapter. Volunteers worked in the canteen from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Thanks Metro Central for providing snacks, smiles, and ice cream to all the donors.
AugustaThe Augusta chapter had two very informative programs for their last meetings. First up was Mike McCracken, Communications Manager for Plant Vogtle. McCracken gave a full update on
the Plant Vogtle project. Then, Betty Teasley from the CSRA Area Agency on Aging stopped by and presented a program entitled, “Preventing Falls: Making Your Home Safe.” Both programs provided some much-needed information for all in attendance.

RomeSenior Vice President of External Affairs, John D’Andrea visited with the Rome chapter and presented a program including a legislative update and update on the construction of Plant Vogtle. It was a very informative program for all in attendance.

AthensJason Cuevas, Georgia Power Northeast GA Region Vice President, presented a wonderful program to the Athens Ambassadors at their last meeting. He provided updates on Plant Vogtle, Integrated Resource Plan filing infor-mation, and shared some experiences he has gained in his career with both
Southern Company and Georgia Power. He then answered questions from the group. It was a very informative meeting for all in attendance.
