Well this really takes the biscuit ! Perhaps this is why the council continue to put millions of pounds into Redcar alone leaving the surrounding areas with very little funding ! Also changing their name to Redcar and Cleveland showing further their priorities lie with Redcar alone And now surprise surprise Guisborough isn't even on the map !!!

It is quite unsuitable to link the villages of Boosbeck, Margrove and Charltons into Westworth Ward, which also covers the Hunters Hill Estate in Guisborough.. The boundary of Skelton should be moved to include these wards. Guisborough should then be three wards as below. With the expanding housing estates by Taylor Wimpey on Galleyhill and Belway on Pine Park developments, the population will also expand making Hutton Ward well populated. Roughly Hutton Ward should encompass all the housing estates west of Hutton Lane, Guisborough Ward should encompass the town centre and estates north of the Town, i.e. Woodhouse Road, Venables Road, and Westworth should be renamed Priory Ward to encompass the Hunters Hill estates and the new Avant estate, south of Rectory Lane. This would ensure that Guisborough Councillors are responsible for Guisborough alone and not meddling in the Boosbeck area, which has more in common with Skelton and Brotton,and vice-versa.

Marske, Saltburn and Redcar boundaries need realigning to take account of the housing developments which have taken place over the last twenty years whilst reflecting existing village boundaries and main road infrastructure and where possible school catchment areas. New housing at Saltburn boundary is in St Germaine's Rowangarth in Marske is part of redcar but logically would be Longbeck.

In East Cleveland boundaries should match Parishes in order to avoid confusion, still believe number of Councillors should be reduced to 2 per Ward as Cabinet system means Councillors have less work. To back this up number of Councillors having surgeries is greatly reduced and in Redcar and Cleveland would save approximately 160,000 pounds a year.

Reinstate Lockwood ward having Boosbeck with Lingdale rather than with Guisborough. Makes much more sense , two rural villages with lots of similarities rather than a village being lumped in with a town four miles away.

Ormesby/ Hutton wards: There are some households currently in Guisborough Ward (& also in Guisborough Parish) which would fit more sensibly in Ormesby ward. These are properties at the top of Ormesby Bank/A171. Does the fact that these properties are in Guisborough Parish prevent them from being in Ormesby Ward?Many people in the Redcar&Cleveland side of Nunthorpe, myself included, would prefer the whole of Nunthorpe to be united in one Borough council/ward, most would prefer to be in neither Redcar nor Middlesbrough and would choose North Yorkshire given the choice.

Re St Germains Ward in Marske. It would seem to me that it would be better for the Wilton Bank site in Saltburn to be included in the Saltburn ward. Including it in the St Germains ward has implications for school children and their catchment areas. It would be far more sensible for them to go to the schools in Saltburn , thus avoiding travelling/ walking on busy roads to Marske . I know that with 'parental choice' they can apply for whichever school they wish to go to but if they are not in the Saltburn area , it could mean that they could be denied a place in the Saltburn schools.

I have recently bought I new build house at high farm just off the trunk road , which when I purchased was NOT in south bank , if the boundaries are moved resulting in my home being classed as south bank the value of my property will reduce dramatically due to the area boundaries, this will go for every home owner on the new high farm estate , it will also increase house insurance and car insurance, I strongly object to my home being put into the south bank boundary as the will have financial implications on everyone on the high farm estate

The villages of Carlin How and Skinningrove are split "down the middle" into Brotton and Loftus. They should belong in one area or the other to increase our sense of identity and provide better representation. The commission would not split a city down the middle and put it into different areas, nor should they with our villages. How about a more dynamic, larger Saltburn area that includes Marske, Skelton and Brotton? These areas are similar and would sit well together.

Having lived in Kirkleatham Village for over 50yrs,I think we should be linked to Kirkleatham Ward.Councillors for Dormanstown Ward have always seemedto be more involved with problems within Dormanstown itself than to pay much attention to the difficulties that arise in the rural periphery.Geographicallywe are closer to the main part of Kirkleatham ward and we are more likely to be involved with management of concerns that arise in this district.

I can't tell from the map, but I hope the new housing development near the riding school in Saltburn will be part of Saltburn and not St Germains ward, which would make it part of Marske. We need our towns to be kept separate.
