PLANNING

U-TOWER -TYPICAL FLOOR PLAN :

CIRCULATION (LIFT CORRIDOR).NEGATIVE SPACES.

LIFT SHAFT.

TWO STAIRCASES ADJACENT TO EACH OTHER.

INTERNAL TOILET SHAFT.

SHAFT FOR ELECTRICITY WIRES AND WET RISER SYSTEM PIPES FOR FIRE FIGHTING.

IRREGULAR NEGATIVE SPACES FORMED DUE TO THE U-SHAPED TOWER WHICH MAKES DIFFICULTIES FOR THE AIR TO CROSS AND CAUSE DARKNESS DUE TO THE LESS SUNLIGHT PENETRATING THROUGH IT DUE TO THE LONG SHAFT.

TOILET SHAFT.

Page 19: Amarpali final

SHAFT LOCATION :

Irregular negative space which is used as shaft as it is surrounded by toilets , lift and a staircase .This shaft has one of its sides open which is 750mm in length that can allow the air cross through it but not entirely due to its irregular difficult profile .ENCLOSED INTERNAL

TOILET SHAFT.Less light penetrating through it .Enclosed by rooms , toilets and lift from all its sides.
