• Staff will be working closely with a supervisor from Frog Lake First Nation as well as TSAG staff and Enbridge volunteers throughout the duration of the program who will provide career mentorship opportunities

• The water monitoring program included hands-on training in aquatic monitoring techniques and data management tools

• The baseline water data collected by staff provided information about the quality of the surface water at the chosen site(s) and did not provide information on specific pollution or contaminant sources

Conclusion The Aboriginal Youth Environmental Program (AYEP)

initiative was an excellent opportunity for our Nation to allow youth mentorship in the Lands program. This allowed the Lands Department to grow after the project training and work experience. The Youth Lands have been hired to continue monitoring the quality of the surface water and developing the Community Mapper System. They will be an integral part of the Land Use Planning for the Nation.
