You Can Win Others! Matthew 9:35-10:8

Sardis Baptist Church January 18, 2015

The most wonderful thing you can do for a friend is to lead him to Jesus Christ as his personal Savior.

You can win others:

I. When you share the compassion of Christ - Matt. 9:36 1. Because of the anxiety of others - "fainted" 2. Because of the purposelessness of others - "scattered abroad" 3. Because of the lack oflove - "as sheep having no shepherd"

II. When you see the contrast drawn by Christ- Matt. 9 :37 > "The harvest is truly is PLENTEOUS, but the laborers are FEW "

m. When you hear the call of Christ - Matt. 9: 3 8 & 10: 1 1. Who does He call? - "His disciples" - vss. 37 & 10: 1 2. Why does He call?

(1) He calls us to prayer - "Pray" - 9:38 (2) He calls us to power - "He gave them power " I 0: 1

IV. When you respond to the command of Christ - Matt. 10: 5-8 1. That we begin where we are - vss. 5-6 2. That we share the gospel - vs. 7 3. That we fulfill our responsibility - vs 8b > The qualifications of a soul-winner:

+ A personal knowledge of Jesus Christ as Savior + A life that is clean - II Timothy 2:21 + A belief that people without Christ are lost + Love

V. When you make a commitment to win others to Christ - Isa. 6 :8
