The Barcelona Chair was designed by LudwigMies Van der Rohe in 1929 for an exhibit forthe World Arts Fair, a worldwide event whichwas hosted that year in Barcelona, Spain.Mies designed the German Pavillion as part ofthe exhibition, which featured the first twoBarcelona Chairs ever built.
Barcelona Chairs are featured throughout theoffices of Jenner & Block at 330 NorthWabash. The chair pictured on the cover ofthis invitation is located in our South Loungeon the 40th Floor.
