Abstract

The lead metallurgy is one of the oldest. Is briefly described the piro and hydro metallurgical

process for extraction of metallic lead, from the variety of concentrates. Are highlighted the

Kivcet and Ausmelt process as the most modern. The hydrometallurgy does not find its

economic application for the process of lead concentrates in contrast to the zinc and copper

hydrometallurgy, with the INTEC process.
