High School 48 35 Junior High News Ms. McGuire’s Social Studies class participated in an assembly line simulation activity
while an actual Ford Motor Company clip was being shown on the Smart Board. In addition, Ms. McGuire portrayed the role of a supervisor on an assembly line. After completing the activity students were asked to compare and contrast their production for accuracy and number of products.

Junior High Girls Group researched ethnic foods, formulated menus and prepared a
variety of dishes with Mr. Weiner. Students shared recipes with staff after sampling their treats.
Ms. Vales’ 8th grade Science class visited a local cemetery to study how the weather
affects rocks and minerals. Students were expected to examine stone for weathering and recognize what type of stone.
High School students Blake Hann and Debbie Green have assembled our holiday tree and donations of scarves and gloves will adorn it and be donated after the holidays.
The High School Girls Group prepared a stir fry lunch for high school staff.

Chris Madden is playing Modified basketball for the Monticello Central School and Markell Jarrett is playing Junior Varsity basketball for the Liberty Central School District. Both are currently 8
th grade students. We look
forward to them having a great season! Jessica Miceli, 11
th grader from the Liberty Central School District was
named OCIAA Volleyball All Star as a middle hitter.

After the first quarter report cards, students met individually with Ms. Blanton and their counselors to discuss their academic progress, behavior and attendance. Struggling students formulated a plan to increase grades in their respective classes. Parent – Teacher Conferences were held after the individual meetings where students plans were discussed.
