Application-aware traffic redirection capabilities including content switching, session persistency, advanced servers health monitoring and content modification combined with Denial-of-Service (DoS) mitigation and SYN flood protection guarantee application availability under any circumstances. To ensure complete business continuity and disaster recovery (DR), the Alteon 5224 also offers a global server load balancing (GSLB) solution.

In addition, the Alteon 5224 offers integrated application acceleration services – such as SSL acceleration (for both 1024 and 2048 bit keys), caching, compression, TCP multiplexing, bandwidth management and more - to meet mission-critical application’s most demanding SLA and ensure their fastest response time, while offloading data center infrastructure, reducing bandwidth consumption and lowering TCO.

The Alteon 5224 is shipped by default with two embedded virtual ADC (vADC) instances that can be expanded on-demand to support up to 24 fully-isolated vADC instances. As each vADC delivers the full feature set of a physical Alteon ADC, the Alteon 5224 allows a separate vADC instance per each application or department, ensuring application high SLA while enabling operational simplicity. As a result, the Alteon 5224 eliminates the purchase of additional ADC units and allows easy, fast provisioning of additional vADC instances via on-demand software license updates with no service interruption at a fraction of the cost of buying a physical ADC.

Shaped to Deliver ApplicationsThe Alteon 5224 employs Radware’s AppShape™ technology which simplifies and accelerates application deployment on the ADC. By offering configuration templates for leading business applications, AppShape helps customers set up and configure all the required ADC options in a fast, riskless and user friendly format. The result is faster application rollout and optimized performance of the ADC for the specific application.

AppShape allows the application to be managed from an application-centric view including management screens, reports, logs and compliance resulting in simplified and efficient application management in the ADC. Complete Web Application Performance VisibilityRadware’s Application Performance Management enables the measurement and visualization of the real user performance, including real data on real errors, which use your Web applications. It provides historical reports with a drilldown granular analysis based on user-defined SLA while allowing the measurement of the delay per each transaction phase including data center time, network latency and browser rendering time.
