Model HF heavy duty bridge plates are fabricated from a 40 mm thick aluminium honey-comb plate with a non-slipsurface.Heavier capacity bridge plateshave reinforcement sectionswelded underneath. Aluminium segmented lips aremade in accordance with BSEN 1398. During loading /unloading, particularly whenusing fork lifts, it is not unusualfor trailers and lorry beds to tiltsideways causing gaps bet-ween bed and lip. Segmentedlips are available to help closethese gaps.

Fixing Plates

If no steelwork is available forinstalling guide rails our dockpreparation material offers anideal solution.A chamfered plate is bolted tothe dock surface using flushfixings. Tabs are then fitted tothe dock face underneath therail. This gives welding pointsfor the top and bottom edges ofthe rail.

Steel plates 80 x 80 x10 fixed underneath the guide rail orstationary dock leveller.

Galvanized steel plate fixed ontop of dock with flush fixings.

Top plate welded to rail.

Counterbalanced drawbridgelevellers are available with support feet to assist with sideloading. Used in conjunctionwith a manual bridge plate sideby side loading is made easy. Uneven ground can becompensated by using the adju-stable feet. Available in staticand sliding versions.

In accordance with BS EN1398 drawbridge levellersshould not be used at a gra-dient greater than 12.5%.Any problems with trailer tiltcan be overcome with seg-mented lips or preferably byfixing the trailer in position.

TechnicalDetails

All drawbridges are balancedindividually with the use of adjustable springs.

The guide rails are designedwith an open base which pre-vents the collection of dirt anddebris, ensuring smooth, easysideways movement.

Formula for calculating platform length at a slope of 12.5% (7.1°)

Safety latch locks automatically after verticalpositioning.
